yep i think they're called fuse plugs which are designed to melt once they reach a certain temperature. so that way the tire will just deflate instead of explode sending heavy chunks of rubber flying which could cause damage to the fuselage

Brakes convert kinetic energy to heat through friction, even if it uses electric Instead of hydraulic brake system. Notice the brakes are red hot when the aircraft stops. That is why they are using water as cooling medium.

Airplane wheels have fusible plugs. They melt when they get too hot and allow the tires to go flat. This is done to prevent the tire from exploding.
