At this point, a foreigner should be Boeing’s new CEO as they might not have the same crony capitalistic mindset as taught in many of America’s schools. Perhaps an Airbus or Embraer employee should be recruited. It will be expensive but Boeing desperately needs a non-corporate America mindset to run their engineering company.

He clearly has cut a ton of corners and safety measures to making money for himself and stock holders. I used to be one but I sold a few years ago. I do not want ANY money from such evil. Words are words. The public needs to see the words come to life and be shown that Boeing is actually taking action. Especially with the bad press that is coming forth regardless of whether or not it’s deserved. I want them to “open up the factory” a bit and show the public what is happening. (Well other than the DoD areas where they produce the tanker and the AWACS) The tour is great but when i took it late last year, they only opened up an upper deck to the overall factory in Everett. If people get to see at ground level what is happening, they’ll appreciate what the mechanics are doing. I can’t emphasize this enough but, get rid of middle managers wanting to look great for their next promotion by leading with a whip. If they are a great manager, they will get promoted BECAUSE they get results the “right way”. Lastly, get back to more of a manufacturing mindset. Give engineers a larger voice. They may not be natural leaders but their words direct leaders in the right direction.

The entire company is in trouble. I would expect the feds to try to gain control of Boeing somehow to save the company from going away. The leadership all needs to go. The CEO, management, etc. The risk they put all passengers and those who fly them, or repair them in danger. I'm guessing there will be a complete stand down of all Boeing planes worldwide soon.

1997 merger with McDonnell Douglas was that catalyst when this once proud iconic company regarded as the crème de la crème in engineering was taken over by corporate cheapskates following the Jack Welch model which in the long term is neither good for the company nor the shareholders if you look at GE and Boeing stock prices have underperformed for years, whereas investing in your company’s good name and not being pennywise and pound foolish and instead continuing to invest in your company and being fair with the workers is worth it a win/win for everyone
