Out sourcing, wages not keeping up with inflation, and the modern American corporate mentally that anyone can do the job-- so just get it done, creates a thankless work environment for aircraft workers, workers are viewed as expendable and their skills taken for granted. Aircraft manufacturing requires an above average skill level.

What about AS 9100 D standard? This is the Quality Standard System they should comply to. To produce aircraft Boeing should be AS 9100 D certified first. If they are certified then why the production line is not following their Work Instructions?

It is amazing to see Boeings CEO surrounded by grieving relatives of his incompetance, his expression says 'I DONT GIVE A S××T' all he cares about is his next bonus. Boeings downfall began when accountants replaced engineers. Boeing us no longer an aircraft manufacturer, they have outsourced so many major productions, just to save money, all they now do is assemble giant Airfix kits. No wonder they plough into the ground, and doors fall off, but never mind, the CEO got a record bonus this year !

Has anybody brought up the point that I heard that Boeing was aware of this aircraft's nose dive possibilities but intentionally left it out of the manual and didn't want to train the pilots how to deal with this issue in order to save themselves ALOT of money and make more profit for themselves? Less expense = more profit. How many people died in these two crashes? Is making money at the expense of 346 lives ethical??

@@SoloPilot6well, broadly speaking conservatives are not going to support increasing funding for regulatory agencies, such as the FAA. To make up for the lack of resources, the FAA allows companies like Boeing to self-regulate many aspects of their operations. Now even if the FAA has all the funding in the world, it wouldn’t be able to regulate everything, so self-regulation is needed… to a degree. What’s happening lately is that this relationship between regulators like the FAA and companies like Boeing have become increasingly relaxed. The FAA did not question Boeing’s position that the single AOA vane input channel for the MCAS system was not a potentially catastrophic failure point
