Magnificent aircraft. In a very high tech, high threat environment, with significant radar and IR sensors, real air defence hardware, an F35 might have a slight advantage and an F22 would have a significant advantage. Anything else, (Super F18, You-row-fighter etc.) is only going to be as good, at best. Any OTHER sort of environment, the F15E is about as good as it gets, and it comes backed by a long history. This thing has been one of the most lethal and successful warplanes ever built, and it remains so today. No other fighter aircraft has ever got near a 140+ to nil combat record. Not only is that unmatched, nothing else comes close.

Nathan Blem F-15C is air superiority version and F-15E is all weather ground attack version, last US variant fielded at end of Cold War, early 90's. F-15's are still unchallenged by enemy air forces, even as being slowly phased out...Soviets/Chinese still have longggg way to go
