"It's disturbingly...unexciting." Exactly what you want to hear.

Boeing, I wish you would build your Dreamliner planes with Gear/Tail or Nose HD cameras so we could see the so we can see whats going on outside the plane on the inflight entertainment system.
@Jacksonkellyfreak10 жыл бұрын
There was a system like that on AA 191. The crash was the reason it was removed. The saw what they were going to hit and watched everything happen.
@MrBigShot11010 жыл бұрын
This is just American Airlines' case, but they took cameras that allowed passengers to see what was going on ahead of them through the cockpit off of their planes after their flight 191 crash because passengers were basically able to watch their deaths coming at them. Like I said, this was just that airline, and I'm not sure if it's been done since, but that's usually the airlines' decision. I doubt Boeing would spend that much extra money on a cosmetic feature that I think a lot of people would pay attention to half the time.

yea and in today's world flying is treated as a pain in the ass, not something special like it used to be, so I doubt anyone would pay attention to it.

You left out one very important piece of info. How much runway did the plane need to come to a full stop?

Which Airport ? must be a very long runway
@KabukeeJo10 жыл бұрын
These tests are not done at commercial Airports but on private ones owned by Boeing used specifically for testing. Airport runways are way too busy with commercial traffic.

Where was this test performed?
@kevinp810810 жыл бұрын
The test was performed at Edwards Air Force Base near Lancaster California. One of the fire truck said "Edwards" on the side of the vehicle at 1:17. This is where the US military test their new fighter jets. Edwards AFB was also the alternate landing site for the Space Shuttle in case of bad weather in Florida.

2:41 "Disturbingly unexciting"? Well, if passing with flying colors is disturbing to you, so be it. Perhaps she meant to say "anticlimactic".
