Brilliant instructions, mine arrives today and I know how to use it before I open the box. Well done.

This looks like a game changer, definitely going to look into getting one, thanks for the detailed review Sarah 👍🏻🍻

Cheers :) It's certainly going to make me far more likely to run some beer off into bottle than playing around with the old beer gun did.

Excellent - thanks for this Sarah; mine has arrived and this will be really helpful (as usual).

I went with a 24mm hole for the shank and 13 mm ones for the other lines as that was the drill sizes I had. The manual has a handy life size cutting diagram in the middle bit that helps you see where to drill the holes. You'll need 3/8 beer line to fit on the connectors and will want to soak it in some boiling water to get it nice and flexible to fit over the hose barbs.

Looks the business and so easy to use. I have a Blichmann gun and it is good but every now and again it gives me hell with foam and breaks my heart at the waste. I can already see this in position beside my keezer. If I make it until after Christmas I'll be surprised. Is it easy to clean?
@DaftCatBrewing3 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean about the waste. I was in tears at wasting pints of this impy stout when I first tried to bottle it with the beer gun. I found it dead easy to clean. I'll probably pop a video of that up sometime basically I used a t-piece with 2 carbonation caps on a pop bottle full of water and clipped the beer in line and gas line to that and ran that into another pet bottle on the filler which cleaned out all the beer side. then rinsed both bottles and did it again to clean out the drain side. That probably makes it sound harder than it was trying to put it in writing but it's dead simple in practise.

Ordered one a couple of weeks ago from Ukraine. Along with the glass bottle assembly, they also so a swing top bottle version.

Nice! Let me know how you get on with it please. I'm going to order the glass bottle assembly as well to go with mine.

super useful video - I've just moved to kegging, been wondering what the best way to share a few bottles with friends was 🍻 sounds like it's a bit pricey though! (he says, after buying a new filter bottom for a brewtools b40 😁)
@DaftCatBrewing3 жыл бұрын
LOL yea after brewtools parts everything seems a bit more reasonable. ;) That being said it's on a par with what you would pay for a Blichmann beer gun. Whilst not cheap I feel it was worth the cash for me, however everyone will need to do their own maths on that. The ease of use and cleaning along with the good looks were the killer features for me.

Oooh looks quality that Sarah. The only down side I can see is that at the moment I use the excuse that bottling is such a hassle so I don’t send much beer out. I could lose that excuse with one of these - people could get a lot more expectant!

LOL there is that :)

great video, thanks! can you tell us how much pressure you have in the keg during use?
@DaftCatBrewing3 жыл бұрын
My normal serving pressure which for this beer was around 10 PSI

I have had issues with the cheap Chinese and blichmann beer gun, tried everything just like you to no avail. Big Banana Brewing has had some of my flat beers. Let us all know how you get on with something with a bit more carbonation like a lager. If they is any good I can see one in my future
@DaftCatBrewing3 жыл бұрын
Sure thing. Going to be a couple of months before I get a chance to brew a lager but once I do I'll let you know

Hi Sarah. Great review, mate. Regarding seals etc. Are spares readily available? That little tap at the side would also worry me, if I knew I couldn't maintain/replace it whenever necessary.
@DaftCatBrewing3 жыл бұрын
I haven't seen spares available, however I haven't had any cause to look.
