Razor A6 kick scooter - first test

O alternativă mai rapidă la mersul pe jos, mai puțin obositoare decât o alergare ușoară, mai sigură decât skateboardul sau waveboardul sau rolele, mai practică, deseori, decât o trotinetă electrică și, uneori, preferabilă bicicletei. Este dotată cu cele mai mari roți "pline" pe care banii le pot cumpăra (10"). Mai întâlnisem o roată de asemenea mărime numai la un model de la Hudora (doar roata din față, cea din spate având diametrul comun pentru trotinetele dedicate "adulților", adică de 8"). Are ghidonul (ridicat la înălțimea maximă) cu câțiva centimetri mai sus decât majoritatea trotinetelor. Acum pot, în sfârșit, să stau drept pe o trotinetă, ba chiar să mă las un pic pe spate. Este o cu totul altă experiență, mult mai plăcută. Platforma (puntea) este suficient de joasă ca să fie redus semnificativ efortul (aproape la fel de joasă ca la Razor A5 Air), dar mai îngustă decât la majoritatea trotinetelor (și cu 1 cm mai îngustă decât la A5 Air). Astfel se reduce din greutate și nu trebuie îndepărtat prea mult piciorul care împinge în scopul de a evita atingerea marginii deck-ului și julirea pielii sau a încălțămintei. În schimb, utilizarea acestui model devine dificilă cu încălțăminte mai voluminoasă pentru persoane care poartă număr mare la încălțăminte. Frâna trotinetei este mai puțin eficientă (roțile fiind mai mari trebuie apăsat pe roata din spate cu forță mai mare), dar frânarea unei trotinete este, oricum, utilă numai la vale. Protecția pentru noroi (apărătoarea sau aripioara) de la roata din spate (care face parte, totodată, din mecanismul de frânare) este metalică, deci va transmite mai rapid căldura în cazul frânării îndelungate și suficient de scurtă ca să nu protejeze de noroi (desigur o eroare de proiectare). Cea din față este din plastic și suficient de lungă. Lipsa amortizoarelor este mai puțin deranjantă decât mă așteptam, mai ales că trotineta rulează mai bine pe suprafețe neregulate comparativ cu o trotinetă cu roți mici, dar pentru mai mult confort, ar putea fi necesară purtarea de încălțăminte și mănuși care să absoarbă din vibrații. Manșoanele originale sunt suficient de moi, dar se putea și mai bine. Am cumpărat această trotinetă la prețul de 399,99 RON și o recomand oricărei persoane mai înalte, deoarece nu există alternative, mai ales în această categorie de preț. Nu este perfectă, desigur, dar dacă eu m-am adaptat la ea foarte repede și mă declar multumit, atunci ar putea fi potrivită și pentru voi, dacă aveți o înălțime de peste 180 cm, dar nu mai mult de 190 cm și mărime nu mai mare de 45 la încălțăminte.

ive watched some of your kickscooter review, very useful! Wonder which one is good for rocky pathways in your opinion? I dont mind changing wheels and also not sure which wheels to get either

There is no polyurethane wheel of any hardness (on 0A to 100A scale or F scale - durometer) to make riding on rocky pathways comfortable enough. Sorry. Maybe a kick scooter with pneumatic wheels with a diameter greater than 20"...

I was disappointed with my A6. I think the A5 hard tyre is the better all-round scooter. The only advantage the A6 has imo is that it's a bit safer (bigger wheels).

I don't know if it is really safer, but it rolls a little better over small obstacles. It can even be used for light off-road. But what I like the most is the height of the handlebars. It feels more comfortable.

@@bogdandebuzauyeah the handlebar on others like the A5 is way too short. That’s why I just buy non Razor branded commuter scooter instead. Usually better quality as well.

Hi. Have you tried this in any type of rain? I'm thinking of getting one for school, and it rains here a lot. I would go slow.

@@fgzy123 Hi. On wet asphalt the scooter is manageable at low speed, but still dangerous. I carry it in my hand when it rains. I've tried riding it in light rain, but without much success. It doesn't worth the risk.

What are your current favorite scooters? A6 on your list?

A6 is the only scooter with handlebars high enough to make me feel comfortable when riding a longer distance. The bigger wheels and low deck (which reduces the effort a lot) are a great bonus, too, for the same reason. So, it's my only favorite scooter right now. I wish it had shock absorbers, though. (And being less noisy). For a quick ride, I may still prefer Micro Suspension or Oxelo Town 7 XL (the older model). But lately, A6 is the only scooter that I've been riding. The height and the position of the handlebars combined with a low enough deck make a huge difference for me when trying to cover a longer distance. Since it is winter, I usually wear thick gloves, so the vibrations are partially absorbed.

@elongatuspiranha I haven't experienced any technical issue with any of them yet. I've bought the Town 7 XL with more years before buying the Micro Scooter, and I've used it a lot. The A6 is a new acquisition, so my experience with it is irrelevant in this matter. But all 3 of them seem able to take some light abuse with success. I was afraid that the suspension on the Oxelo model would break some time, but they still work fine, even after starting to abuse this scooter more after getting the Micro scooter. So I can guarantee for the good quality of the Oxelo scooter.

@@bogdandebuzau With the info you gave me, I'm really leaning towards the A6. However the Razor A5 prime really caught my eyes. I really like how it looks compared to other scooters, as it is much more adult looking. Have you tried it an A5 prime?

@elongatuspiranha No, I haven't tried it. I know this model. It looks great online, but it may be too small in the real world.
