Although, I know everybody has their own opinion and perception on what is good sound, and it is very subjective...I don't see how anybody could dislike this video..I don't understand what there is to dislike. I can't wrap my head around people like that. Personally, imo, I think many people are jealous of brother reza..The man is cool as shit, and as humble as a person can be. He posts some of the best demos on You Tube..He never talks down to anybody or belittles them, if they have a smaller level of knowledge then him, and he takes alot of his personal time to answer people's questions, and helps them make the right decisions before they spend alot of money on purchases..He doesn't owe anybody that, and his page on FB, called Advanced Guitars and Gear is ingenius..He has a very large following..He has alot of top notch equipment, that I'm quite sure he worked his ass off for, rather than somebody just giving it to him..The man is an audio engineer by trade, and nobody can argue about the fact that he has an amazing ear for sound and tone, which is to be expected in his work profession. Props to you, Brother Reza..Thanks for your selfless time to help, educate, and entertain people..You do it out of the kindness of your heart. I hope you're doing well Bro, and that you're staying safe, healthy, and far away from this nasty virus. From Sonny in New Orleans, La. PS..I pray that these California Wildfires had no bad effect on you. It breaks my heart, and angers me at the same time, that it has been proven already that a decent amount of these fires, were created by arsonists, over something petty and insignificant as politics. There's so much more to life, and sadly, many hard working, tax paying citizens lost their family homes, rendering many of them homeless.

@@Taustavoima Yep the cab is an EQ. But whatever the speaker, the difference between EL34 and 6L6 is huge. I use 3 Ampete 444 in my studio so you can imagine how many heads and cabs I can compare. Low end comes from the 6L6. Whatever the speaker. I've tested 6L6 vs KT77 and KT88 too. At the end, I always need the good old 6L6.
@7xchad3 жыл бұрын
@@toom6087 Just out of curiosity, do you have any clips or demos with the KT77s? I've used those in other amps and always felt like they were a good hybrid of an EL34 and 6L6, but the Ecstasy is a bucket list item amp for me and I would love to hear a tube rolling demo of one.
@toom60873 жыл бұрын
@@7xchad No I don't sorry. And yes they are just half-way from 6L6s to EL34s. I've always preferred 6L6s to KT77s or KT88s. On paper, KTs are better. But in the real life, for my kind of tastes, my gameplay, my guitars, my FXs, as I'm in love with fat low end, not with tight low end, my go to is the 6L6. I even put 6L6s in my Diezel VH4-S. I asked it to Peter Diezel, it was in 2014. Peter answered KTs are better. No regrets ! The VH4 with 6L6s is a monster. Same with Bogner amps. Same with Mesa amps. Well, a Mesa without 6L6s is no more a Mesa. But I'm a purist here. Maybe KT88 or 77 on Marshall, as Kerry King do. If I had a Bogner Uberschall, I would have probably tried KT77s or 88s in. But I'm a 2 channels Dual Rectifier player. Heads from the 90's, loaded with 6L6s of course. Back to the XTC : all the peoples who heard my amp loaded with 6L6s are impressed. I use to play the XTC with a Dual Rectifier 3 channels, the solo head, not the muti-watts in production since 2010. Everybody prefer the XTC. An XTC loaded with 6L6s is made for Boogie fans like me. If you are a Marshall guy, you will probably prefer the KTs. I play shred and doom. I go from Dream Theater or Suicidal Tendencies to Lamb Of God or Corrosion of Conformity, Megadeth to Crowbar etc. No punk, no pop. With the XTC, I play in the George Lynch/Van Halen/Zakk Wylde way. If you want a versatile amp, the XTC is the best for solo players. The VH4 for rhythm players. If you want the best high gain amp ever made : Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Revision F made in 1992-1993 or Soldano SLO100 made from 1987 to 2018. I own both. They are evil. And when I play the Recto and the SLO together, there are no words to explain the sonic orgasm happening. I could sold my XTC or my VH4. Not the others. Check out the SLO100 before buying and XTC. And well, the cab can change the tone too. The Bogner 412ST loaded with V30 is the best 4x12 for the Soldano. The Matamp 412R Deluxe, V30 too, is the best for the Rectifier Revision F. The Friedman 412 with greenbacks is the best for my VH4S with 6L6s. The Diezel cab, front loaded, is the best for the new Rectifier. Etc. Power tubes + cabs + woods of the guitar + pickups : this is the key. Even if I had a clip, it will not help you. :(
@7xchad3 жыл бұрын
@@toom6087 Thanks for that detailed reply. I currently blend a Dual Rec Rev G (pretty good in its own right) and a Carvin X100B, both with 6L6 power tubes. This gives me a great high gain amp with a very good clean channel and a great clean amp with a very good crunch channel. I have different pedals I use with each to further expand the tonal palate. So for, no megabuck botique amp has convinced me that it offers anything I can't get with my current setup, but the Ecstasy seems like 1 amp that would fill the place of 2. Still curious about tube rolling, just because hearing something I'm not used to tends to make me more creative, but I definitely know what you mean describing that massive bottom end of a rectifier. On paper it shouldn't work, but being in the room with it while chugging out a heavy riff is an awesome experience!

I’ve got a question for you. I’ve never been a fan of the V30. I love Bogner cabs and would love to get one of their 212s and put in 2 Alnico Creams. that's a 50 watt amp, it's supposed to be loud. this is 35 watts, that's still pretty powerful. I never understood why people buy these powerful amps and want to play them quietly...they don't even sound right till you get them up half way.
@donkasner23963 жыл бұрын
@@RezaMatix When I bought my Soldano almost 25 years ago amps like this didn’t really exist in many platforms, it was either 50 or 100 watts. I was just curious if this amp was manageable at lower volumes or if you would still need to power soak it to get tones.

Considering this or the telos? Is the telos a bit less aggressive more vintages voice? How do they compare

Watch the Telos video on my channel. There is also something Telos(like) coming soon from Bogner if you can wait. :)

What is your thoughts between this and the 100 watt? Was a major difference in sound or major difference in gain?

@rezamatrix Do you find the effects loop noisy? I have a annoying hum when running the effects loop volume at noon.

actually no, but i have all custom made high end cables made in a snake to prevent any noise

I just got a 3534 today and can confirm, I also have a relatively noisy fx loop when engaged. It’s noticeable but I’m still debating how I’ll be running this amp (stereo or 4cm). Tonight’s test with the GT1000core in 4cm was a ton of fun though. Guess I’ll see how it sounds with my stereo board out front and see if the noisy loops is all that bad. Based on the sounds I’m getting out of this amp, I don’t think the loop noise will be enough to deter me.
@imaginedreamingofficial34322 жыл бұрын
@@inmyverdehoodie just get your hands on a Komet Ambikab Jr. and run stereo, problem solved. You wont need the fx loop going that route.

Is it me or does this version of the XTC sound more metal than the others? Tighter, more growly and aggressive. Seems like it out-metals the Uber for me too.

How does this compare to the 20th anniversary XTC, does it stack up next to it or is there a huge difference in quality, and sound? Also which is your favorite Bogner?

huge difference. this is more versatile and much more brutal sounding in the gain. i do love the 20th high gain mode tho, that's a different beast with twice the wattage as well

Is the Celestion alnico cream better then the vintage 30 for metal?
@RezaMatix4 жыл бұрын
tough question to answer really. So many other variables. Some amps sound much more metal with V30's. The V30 is a very tried and true rock/metal speaker. I prefer G12-65's for metal to be honest with you. :)
