This is why I always preferred Guitar Hero to Rock Band. They always went an extra step and did specific animations for certain songs.

Rock Band technically is better, and has more content, but Guitar Hero is also technically better due to all the effort that's placed into it and the passion for rock music, which are both something something that can't be said for EA's grasps. At least Activision gave a shit once upon a time

Rock band is for people who appriciate more "close to the real guitar" songs Guitar Hero has many fun little effort everywhere. May seem pointless, but its the thing that gives the game its charm.

Rock Band went with more realism with its note charting, hence why many people say playing the Rock Band version of a chart feels more accurate. It also doesn't help that Guitar Hero charts often included parts that weren't even for that specific instrument when the rest of the track was perfectly fine. (Synth parts on Through the Fire and Flames anyone?) Which feels wrong to many music enthusiasts who want as much accuracy as possible. Guitar Hero took a more laid back approach to the whole thing after Harmonix went on to make Rock Band and Neversoft took their place. I guess they added inaccuracies to make the charts feel less empty, which makes sense from a technical standpoint, but overall, many prefer accuracy on instruments rather than inaccuracies throughout the charts. All in all, Rock Band went for accuracy and gameplay mechanics, whereas Guitar Hero and its spinoffs went for more fun less realistic gameplay, though sadly, this also led to under and overcharting which made some songs less fun to play on GH games to many people. Its a mixed bag honestly, and both game franchises have their strongpoints. If only Rock Band 4 and Guitar Hero Live were as good as their predecessors...

@@RockRage8962 1 year later, sorry :P i don't care about it being realistic, i only want it to be fun, that's why i hate the RB chart for this song, is realistic yes, the piano goes to the keys and guitar on guitar, that's fine, but is a boring chart to play for me, at least on GH it has both things on it, which makes it a fucking cool and fun song to play, but RB is the exact opposite, i always avoid to play this song on RB on guitar for that reason still fun to play on the other instruments on both games tho :P
