This is interesting. In the 90’s they had a braiding style called the “tree.” This is what it looks like. But, they added hair bringing out more hair while braiding. Your hair looks fantastic.

I’m going to try this with as thick hair but v textured type 2a- 3b red Celtic curls with a Bob in growing out- it’s annoying me for the winter- never done this before- maybe I’m too old? I love the end result- cg method getting annoying and time consuming- I ll go cook up some flax seed gel and get on it- I must thread tie my ends tho- the elastic bands sporadically break when I ve held a space bun or whatever in them- I ll see how this goes- if I manage this (the parting is my biggest concern minus the mirror)- if I manage I ll buy red box braids for Xmas 🧡🧡🧡🌈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I did this not that long ago & it got frizzy very quickly (not referring to the curly pieces) 😞 looking for ways to make it last longer or make them look new after they become frizzy

I used a mousse because it tends to tame my frizz more in comparison to a cream because I live in a very humid environment
