Progressive Tonality: starts in E♭; ends in B♭. Incredibly: the clarinet part has a D major key signature throughout (and full of accidentals contradicting it) - as if the lack of key signature in the piano part implies C major. Which it does not! 😀

Where did you find the transposed clarinet part? Your remark about the key signature is absolutely right. Someone who had to transpose Martinů's score forgot to switch on their common sense…

Don't know if its lack of resources or a misplaced reverence for "the original"; but it doesn't makes things any easier!
