Regarding Plankton parroting the line "Dig another grave for those I couldn't save", I interpret it as him viewing everyone who had to die for him to reach his goal as those he couldn't save. If only they'd embraced the Neon Tide and become another number among his flock, they would have been saved.

Plankton saying "for those I couldn't save", what if the Neon Tide was like The Infinite Tsukuyomi from Naruto. Everyone just goes into a dream state while they serve Plankton. Anyone who resisted enough to just be put down are the one's he couldn't save. In Plankton's mind the people would be better off if he ruled them all.

I was also a little thrown off with plankton singing the dig another grave line, and i thought of an alternative. Sandy says "I pray this dome of glass is strong enough to hold me up when i dig another grave for those I couldn't save"and I think a good parallel would have been if plankton said "I pray these machines I've built are strong enough to tear you down when you dig another grave for those you couldn't save"
