Very methodical. I finished off a part built engine 4 years ago and only found a couple of leaks when I had it all assembled and ready to steam test! Found them on compressed air tests. Thankfully they were not structural, just weeps that could be fixed with 965 solder with 3.5% silver content. Moral of the story, test all components prior to assembly. On my current build this is the method I have used, with satisfaction of finding faults, rectifying then continuing on. Good job Tom

Hi Tom, I have the exact same Hydraulic Test Pump!

Tom, what fittings do you need to reduce the hydraulic test pump fittings down to say 1/4" I dont know what he pumps dimensions in metric would reduce to?

I took a fitting that fitted the pump, no idea what thread it was, came with the pump, drilled it out and soldered in a pipe which was the right size for the union I wanted on the end.
