I wish any character gets a rework except Madelyne Pryor. To this day, she is the worst character to go against because her abilities can nuke entire teams despite her kit being outdated (peter b Parker close second)

For me it's the Undying team. If they end up with like 10-11 million health, and they get a Zombie Scarlet Witch to supplement Hela's control, that team is going to be unbeatable in War, and very valuable in Crucible.

I was just thinking the other day Madelyn Prior needed a rework. As I recall I unlocked her, got the 7RS from a basic orb, and then put her on defense. Shortly after that Scopely started what Philosopher referred to as The Great Reset and she seemed to quickly fall off in relevance.

I'd love to see X Family be 2 of the new people. Feels like not doing Cassandra Nova would be a waste of hype and current MCU zeitgeist. Legion, tbh could be a legendary all by himself, but equally I could see them making pat of this team and I'd rather get him here vs not at all. I could see them doing Emma and retooling her passive entirely maybe, but I doubt it. I feel like Psylocke and Madelyn Pryor make the most sense...even tho a new stat Madelyn is a terrifying thought just by herself.

You are probably right with some of the options you have mentioned and I think you are right about thee being a limited amount of choices available if its a mutant team that is all telepathic. I would love to see Rachel Summers added to the game. I do think Legion would be wasted on this team. I think he would be better used as a legendary character in his own right or even (as much as I hate the gated nature) an epic. As for his powers he has multiple personality disorder (don't know the proper clinical term) and for each alter he has a different power, and he has thousands of alters. In the comics when he is in control of them he is godlike, however that control never lasts and sometimes an alter gets in control. Personally I would love to see him as part of a mutant team is they ever brought in The Five or even as a stand alone with plug and play capability.

You forgot to mention Cable. He's often said to be one of the most powerful psychics but his powers are spent keeping his tech virus back from infecting him more. Personally I would love a rework for Cable and an excuse to use him and level him up. But if Cable is reworked maybe Stryfe would as well since he's Cable's clone and a psychic? My vote for reworks would be Cable and Psylocke. And if Prof X and Shadow King are already 2 of the 3 new ones then hands down would want Legion to fill that last slot. His show was super good and he's a great complex character and his powers could let him fill any role as he could literally do anything canonically. Wishful thinking I'd like to see Quentin Quire, he's getting more popular in comics and a powerful psychic. Though I could see the game using him later in a Young X-Men style team with Armor, Cannonball or whoever.

I would say Cable is a longshot because his psychic powers are never really used because of the virus. Stryfe is more likely. Xavier is not on the team, he's still planned to be a DD release.

Exodus does have ties to Hope rather than Rachel as you said. Hope could be a very long shot candidate for a team of psychic mutants, as she can mimic other mutant powers, though she has no inherent psychic powers herself. Another long shot could be Mastermind, who would fit into the villain theme if they're doing that. Total speculation here: Legion might fit better as the Legendary after Shadow King, on a team of hero mutant psychics that is a war offense team, to solve whatever war defense problem is created by Shadow King's team. That way you get another legendary with ties to Xavier and play on the adversarial relationship of Shadow King and Legion.

Unfortunately Shadow King is the last legendary before Xavier who is slated for the Spring 2025, so I think the Age of X chance to add Legion as a legendary would be over :( At that point I suspect Legendary/Mythic to move on from Mutants

They seem to be happy to have one built rework and one dropped rework now. Orchis has lds that was decently built by veterans and scientists supreme that was abandoned. Nightstalkers has Agatha that was built to g17 and moonknight that was mostly dropped so maddie and psylok make sense as the built and abandoned reworks although a Emma rework would be very popular

If Professor X is missing in the MSF storyline, it's probably by someone who hates him and wants him out of the ecuation, i don't think it's going to be an anti mutant characther like Bastion because they already seem to waste that bullet with Orchis (still thinking that Bastion would fit great on that team, and take advantage of the X Men 97 hype), but it makes a lot of sense to be Shadow King and Cassandra, they really hate Charles and makes a lot of sense to be them the ones plotting to erase him from the history, also, there's another characther that comes to mind about hating Professor X and that is Juggernaut, he is his half brother and always was jealous of him, so him in this team could make sense, he is mystic in game, but if this team is not for raids, there's no need to be all mutant, just like Deathpool in the Mercs, but with them we already have 3 members and they just need to rework 2 of them, Psylocke and Emma were present in the Mind of Magneto storyline, so that maybe is a hint, but Shadow King, Cassandra and Legion, plus Juggernaut and another rework can go well for this team.

I would keep Summers characters off this team and later release a Summers team, personally. I think a team of Madeline, Cable, Rachel, Nate (legendary) and Hope would be badass. I suppose you could do it with Phoenix instead of Madeline. You could even consider Sinister or Cyclops for this team. And then a future Xavier team with Cassandra Nova, Legion and even Magneto could be super cool. That would leave Emma and Psylocke here unless Shadow King possesses some other mutant OR you have non-mutants on the team since it is not a raid team. Could you imagine putting Purple Man on this team???

Honestly, I would bet on Emma and Madelyn both getting reworks. They clearly asked us to invest in Emma recently to team with Cabal. And Madelyn fits the narrative well, even I personally want to see her on a future team. Keeping in mind that Shadow King is a puppet master, you could really use any evil mutant….or non-mutant. I could see a meat shield toon, like Blob, being mind-controlled.

Mesmero - mutant villain hypnotist. Very powerful could manipulate telepaths with just eye contact. He could mind control ppl, create illusions thru mind manipulation and alter ppl's memories. Which fits the theme that nobody seems to remember who Xavier is very well. Featured in the X-Men Evolution cartoon

I kind of suspected that the war team was next because we haven’t had a new war team since alpha flight and so that made me think that we weren’t getting a new legendary team till this war team since old man Logan was a war legendary character. (he is useful in other games mode but his kits and team is war) but no. I do like that they are giving shadow king and his team more value than just one game mod. Shadow King is such a weird pull for a Legendary in MSF. He’s such an obscure character. Who’s going to be excited for him? Cassandra Nova would have been a better choice, given she’s a new villain in Deadpool 3. I think the most obscure Legendaries the game has had to date was Ebony Maw, but people got to know him from the movies; and Morgan La Fey. I doubt many knew she was in Marvel Comics, but they would have heard of her from Arthurian legend.
