Hey Josh - missed seeing your videos in a while. I joke with people that my full time job pays the bills - my farm pays dividends in helping me maintain a grounded state of mind. It is a lot of work but wouldn't trade it for nothing. Glad you are good!!!

Have missed your videos. Glad everything is ok. Have not had goats for about 40 years and your videos makes me want to get a few. Plan on buying 4 or 5 within the next month. Have a good day from southeast Alabama.

Glad to see another video out! Our two gals we bought from your uncle are doing fine...our place is divided into two uneven sections and they are on the front section of 10 acres...with all the rains...no way can two goats make a dent in the brush and weeds...hubby brush hogged now twice...and it's back up knee high deep again....but we gave them feed in the beginning to get them stabilized and just cut that off recently...they know to go into their hut hubby built for rains and we keep a large pan filled with fresh water since they won't drink from ponds...had a couple severe scares and let them into our blind calf's area and she has access to the barn...so they are well taken care of...a neighbor contacted me and said a lady in Clarksville had a nanny and daughter and no longer wanted them..Nigerians...gave to us...so added to the herd and they pretty much get along...plenty of land to roam on...Love having our ladies and hope all goes good for ya'll - this is one crazy year all around.

👍👍. Work is work and when you’re dog tired at the end of day it’s hard to take on ONE more thing. But sure nice seeing everything that’s been happening and how your planted fields have taken off cus of rains. Too much rain it looks. Never know what ya come across if walking through fields. Nighttime was always the worst at weaning. Nothing drowned out their cries for momma. Loved seeing the dogs welcome the new additions. Checking their smells cus they know their job well. Dang those are beautiful. So glad to enjoy your place again through the videos and loved seeing that so little baby steer. Does he still follow you about? Stay healthy to all your family and definitely safe. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

When weaning a kid how long do you need to separate how long before re-introducing your kids back to your herd
@BoisDArcKikos4 жыл бұрын
Mechanic Mike I weaned mine a month ago & they are still separated from the nannies as of now. I could put them back but I’m going to let them for another month. Nannies are all dried up now

When you say shred do you mean just cutting the grass with a rotary cutter?

Yes I have a drag type shredder & cut it high so it spreads the seed heads back out
