I liked seeing you'll enjoying yourselves in Boise. Our daughter practiced medicine there for a couple of years sometime back. We always enjoyed that area when we were visiting her. One of our trips to Boise was part of a road trip with a group of British sports car enthusiasts . It's fun to spend a couple of months in a tiny MGB. I like seeing how much you two enjoy life. Your video skills are improving from the years you've been doing this lifestyle.

We lived in Boise for 10 months. We loved it! There’s a reservoir just up in the hills that is pretty. And the sawtooth are right there. I don’t know if you are aware but there are little computers you can buy for your bikes. The basic ones tell you how fast you’re going, how long you’ve been riding and how many miles. Some you have to push a stop/start button and others automatically start when the bike starts moving. The batteries are watch batteries and they last a few years before needing replaced (the battery, not the unit). You can get much more fancy ones but the basic ones start around $20-30. I love seeing my progress so I have one on my bike.

Thank you so much, Loran! We were very happy with our decision to explore more of ID- in the past, we've driven through the panhandle on our way from MT to WA, and while Coeur d'Alene is gorgeous, there's so much more of ID to see! We're not too proud to admit that bedtime has crept up - I blame the sun setting at 5 and cold nights keeping us inside, but really those are just excuses. Funny, as kids we fought going to bed, as adults we can't wait for bedtime!!

Thanksgiving weekend, we arrived at a state park and were so tired, we were in bed by 6:30. It was dark outside, cold, peaceful, and quiet. I woke up at 7 and I had to force my wife up at 9. We initially didn't want to admit to anyone but after a few weeks it's kinda funny. We don't have the excuses of riding 25 miles before hand though. Daylight savings time in a state park with no outside lights really messes you up. Glad you guys had a good time.

Glad you got to see a small part of Boise. It is the fastest growing town in the NW. IT IS BEAUTIFUL. Yet those of us native Idahoan's., get a lil miffed about 1 thing. . I'm sure that would be welcome lol. We were actually there in September- we started putting the month we visited the location towards the beginning of our videos to try to clear up any confusion since our videos are usually a month (or 3) behind. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Don't know if your still in Idaho but have you'll been to Hells Canyon? Or anyone been?
@christinajustchristina4 жыл бұрын
I used to live up in the area..have you been? It's some of the most gorgeous country you'll ever see.....I recommend taking a jet boat tour at the very least. Pretty sure they still run out of Lewiston.
@EmbracingDetours4 жыл бұрын
We did not make it to Hells Canyon this time around. We're definitely interested and hope to be able to explore Central Idaho one of these days. Thanks for your input, Christina.

@@christinajustchristina we haven't been but it sounded fun n pretty when I was reading about it being the deepest canyon in US. I wonder if it is the river that they made the show. River Of No Return?

I used to deliver to the Attica prison and doesn't look anything like the one you toured...
@EmbracingDetours4 жыл бұрын
I just Googled the Attica Prison and, according to Wikipedia, many inmates are sent there because of disciplinary problems in other facilities.... sounds like a dangerous place. The prison we toured closed down almost 50 years ago, so that's a lot of time for things to change. Thanks for watching and commenting, Dale!

Not sure why the prison would have anything against baking bread and there's nothing wrong with going to bed at 7PM after a nice outdoorsy sort of a day. .
