The one glaring thing that still hasn't been fixed since last year is our secondary pass coverage. I also look and see our corners are a few steps behind their coverage. Maybe put our faster players on pass coverage.

So I watched interviews of Sire Gaines, Zach Holmesj, Tyler Crowe, Ahmed Hassanein, Jonah Dalmas, and Ashton Jeanty. And I was amazed how they all were drinking Danielson’s kool aid, reporting how blessed and grateful to Jesus they are. I think a couple of them stuttered how blessed they were at least a dozen times. That no one omitted godly influences made me wonder if their inclusion is a prerequisite of being allowed by Danielson to be interviewed without consequences. Then I watched a video of a Boise coaches press conference and noticed Maddux Madsen was being bad-mouthed. That inspired me to look up whether he’d been recently interviewed. I found an interview from a few days before his coaches spoke ill of him and sure enough, unlike what all the other players had done, praising the lord, Madsen talked like he was playing for a secular school instead, with not so much as a peep about religion. And then I realized that’s likely why his coaches appeared more upset with him than if he’d just had a bad game. Another thing that impressed me about Madsen, unlike his coach, he didn’t portray his fellow players as all being nameless meat whose only purpose was to sustain Ashton Jeanty. He actually praised them by name, one after another. And I began to suspect in doing so, he was revolting against Danielson’s theocratic rule by giving voice to those who their coach may well consider apostates. (By the way, Jeanty shouldn’t consider himself immune from being considered meat, too, in as much as Dirk Koetter said players like him have a limited shelf life.) By praising players other than Jeanty, Madsen came across more like the team’s coach than their real one. He must have had impact on his zealot overseer because to my surprise Danielson actually offered praise to many of his players, yesterday, rather than just to Jesus and Jeanty. It’s like Madsen made him so jealous he felt need to address players like they're human beings, too, regardless of their religious affiliations. I also watched an interview of Taylen Green from Arkansas. And like Madsen, he kept his answers secular, too. So I imagine the pressure to do otherwise is why he fled Danielson’s team. I wonder how many others will do the same. I think most college students want to play for a school rather than church. Many didn’t know what was coming when they signed on to Boise State. They do, now, and my guess is some of the brighter ones are going to flee, just as did Green.

When we punt instead of sending everyone sprinting downfield and running right past the reciever leaving nobody left on the field to tackle, howabout only sending two sprinters and spread the others across the field.
