Me watching recorded games and streams: Will norse players EVER learn to build their fkin houses on their base? Also me playing as norse: Why not to build 8 houses just in front of my opponent's base?

I have found Myself thinking the same and doing the exact same 🤣 I think it's an emergent behavior from the fact that norse are a very aggressive civ and that their infantry builds buildings (and in legacy the vills couldn't build houses), so norse players tend to have their infantry on the front lines and whenever they need to build houses, it kind of makes no sense to run all the way back to their base to build them! (and tasking a villager to it means some idle time in eco)

@@Mathilde_Moksha_333 the theoretical answer is VERY simple: leave a hersir/berserk in your base to build your houses and repel mini raids. It kinda works untill midgame when you start desperately selecting "all idle units" to send into a fight. On the other side, the "cost" of this idle eco time to task a villager is around 20 resources, wich is half of the cost to rebuild a razed house in the middle of nowhere. I mean, on theory, there's NO reason to build forward houses, in real life, we always end up doing it bc we suck

Pojuu micro is terrible. Loses hundreds of units because he's not looking at them, he could have finished the expo 10 times but he focus the units instead and leave him with 50hp
