It's amazing how many of these native drummers are on You Tube. Equally amazing is the fact that they all sound virtually the same.

@@darz3829 The fact that you refer to this simply as "native drummers' says enough. Because it all sounds the same to you doesn't mean it IS the same. You have no idea the skill it takes to get these sounds out of these instruments. Just remember, all masters make it look easy.

@@fuganetti "You have no idea the skill it takes to get these sounds out of these instruments. " Perhaps. But when I taught music in an elementary school we had a couple of drum circles and the kids learned the fundamentals in a half hour. And to my uneducated ears, it all sounded the same.

@@darz3829 Well at least you have enough humility to admit your ears aren't trained enough to understand. However, I genuinely hope someday you get to see a performance of Guinea West African music this caliber in person.
