Was glad to see one the same age as mine and that we can still get refills for them. I notice the newer ones are easier to feed through, but this still works for my needs.

Your welcome. I've told my daughter about these machines for a few years. She has drug her feet because she's not sure how they work. I hope you have fun using yours again. That Xyron machine was up in the cupboard for over a year and I had not checked it to make sure I had enough product. I hope you get to make your stickers soon and have fun using it. I just bought a xyron and it was preloaded (was the display model so got it discounted ;) ) when the pieces come out there is not any plastic coating over the top. When I watch the paper crafting videos they all have the plastic over it making an embellishment sandwich, if you will. Is mine loaded improperly? The adhesive doesn't seem to go on properly, only on parts of an image. I know without seening it can be hard to speculate, but is it suppose to have that plastic come out over the top?

Mine was never like that and all of a sudden it’s doing that. The clear tape looking stuff has also like unconnected and now the knob doesn’t do anything because that’s what the knob is connected too. I don’t know what to do🤷🏻‍♀️

@@mariahlee7709 me neither. I don't use it because without the plastic over it there are lots of strings and "glue goo" in the intricate die cuts. Frustrating.

My plastic sheet became separated from the spool closer to the back of the machine. What do I do to fix?

@RambergVideo With a bit of preparation, it should stick. You might have to lightly sand the area and clean it of all dust where you want the sticker placed. Once it is adhered you would then have to cover it with some kind of varnish. What ever you run through the Xyron only gets sticky on the back side. The top side is not laminated and protected. Paper would get wet and peel off on you, that is why you would need varnish. Leslie

@zolow73 Paper is excellent to use with the Xyron 500. The backing paper comes away very easy and the adhesive is stuck to the paper. Make sure to rub over the top of the piece you ran through the machine. This will cause the adhesive to stick to your embellishment and not come off with the backing paper. Have fun creating with the Xyron. :-) Leslie

@holterpa123 The Xyron 900 is the only product that has a cartridge for laminating (as far a I know). AFTER you have your item laminated you can run it through this Xyron 500 and add the adhesive. Products change so quickly anymore and I am so out of the loop. Leslie

Lol aboit the oops ie but you did a fine demo. I just tried mine for the first time but the roller track cellophane cane undone, and didnt ser how it is fed through aling with the other pages, So I have to pull it through. That's what I'm trying to find on here is HOW to do that as its not in instructions in the dang box, on brand new product OR refill. Lol sully company.

i found mine at a thriftstore for 3.50 and still had about half its roll in the cartridge.

i bought a new snowboard and i was wondering if i bought this, would the stickers stuck on my snowboard or would they fall off easy
