I think what makes this loss all the more horrific is that it was a slow descent, rather than a quick lightning strike. Sure, the inital line in India got taken down, but there was an actual spirited defence by Bo and the other Allied powers. The Soviets even managed to stabilize, atleast for a while. That sudden Sealion out of nowhere with all those tanks and pretty much no US support from ground and sea sealed the deal though.

I've seen it work a handful of times, but usually only in conjunction with the German player being held up in France. I'm pretty certain that Golden pushed so hard for Denmark because it meant that even if the soviets capped the Allies weren't going to be able to be pushed out of Europe without nukes.
