If you want to make the game harder/ more interesting I recommend the skin walker mod( It makes the monsters talk using the voices of your teammates) and the mimic mod (which adds fake fire exits that will eat you to the game). These two have lead to some very funny moments for my friends and I while playing after we got used to the normal game play loop

@@ausar567 imo, the game loses its fun and luster when you "master" it. The skinwalker mod and mimic are so well made I thought I they were a part of the game when I saw them in a video. seeing a brackens eyes and your friends voice saying "Help me" is terrifying

The Bracken (Black, glowing eyes, leaf monsters.) can be countered by NOT looking at them as that will enrage them, but you can spook them by looking at it quickly without staring longer than 4 seconds.

Fun Facts: Eclipse doesn't spawn more or stronger monsters, but removes the early outdoors grace period, so monsters can immediately try to roll their chance to spawn. Staring at mr. Dark Man (aka Bracken) for too long doesn't help your teammates' chances of survival. (Neither does leaving Beehives in the ship interior, leave them outside of it and grab them when taking off) A neat trick for the Jester (jack-in-the-box): abuse it's ability to know where everyone is in the building by having someone go to the entrance it's not close to, and enter first after it's gone back to normal (not playing music, not out of the box). After they enter, wait a bit and enter through the entrance it is close to. It will go and pathfind all the way to the person who entered first, and it's still passive while pathing to them. Buys you a good 30 seconds for exploration. Alternatively, you can also have that person act as Jester Bait by letting them in without items, getting into an unreachable spot (for the AI anyway), and having a Jester permamently stuck trying to kill them. Then, teleport them out when it's convenient!
