Eric always stabbed his kids with Stephanie in the back. Ricky-boy was especially important to him. Eric doesn't care what he lied and cheated about. And, of course, Brooke has nothing better to do than get Eric on her side. Where would the problem have been if Rick went back to Paris for a while? He was there for years and no one cried about it. But for Ridge it would be a relief in his grief. But Brooke is never considerate of anyone. Only she and her brood matter. And everyone just has to take that into account.

@@Darline4006 Bloodline is not a reason for everything. Eric has always said that Ridge is his son and that he is proud to have him as a son. Ridge was 10x more a Forrester than Ricky-boy, who betrayed the company so many times. Incidentally, Ridge also regarded Hope as his daughter, and Brooke always insisted that she was his daughter. Then what about it? In addition, both Ridge and Eric were always coerced into giving Rick and Hope priority. Strangely enough, that was never the case with Bridget and RJ later.It is also a fact that if Thomas or Steffy did something like this to the company, they would have had to leave the company (which happened later). @Sara Zimmermann Stephanie did a lot of bad things, integrated and manipulated. Mostly for Ridge and often for the family business. But it was all about Eric, who - like Ridge by the way with Brookes kids - forgave Rick everything.

@@robertlewis5257 not true. If you watch from the beginning, Eric's behavior made Stephanie bitter, she was distant maybe in season 1 but she wasn't bitter at all, the constant skirt chasing would drive any woman crazy
