They had to do the reception at Eric's because of the donna/Eric storyline, this is a continuation of creating conflicts between them,first Justine someone we never even had about in the past when there are actually past boyfriends of the girls that were featured in the show ,who could have been Marcus dad,and then donna all over sudden as thos talk show host dream,and now she is hosting bill at Eric's house which is really unlike donna, but it's an opportunity to show the distance developing between.
