@@KH-lw5ze 2011 was where we saw that huge transition happen, but it really become the LOPE v STEAM show in 2012. Even in late 2011, they still gave other main, staple characters storylines. If you watch B&B in 2012, they didn’t do that most of the time because the focus was mostly on LOPE v STEAM. Just my commentary - agree?/disagree?

I believe the last major storyline involving the staple characters (Stephanie, Brooke, Eric, Ridge, Taylor) was in mid-2011 when the plane carrying Brooke and Thomas crashed. After that is when we saw the transition take place, coincidentally around the time the show started broadcasting in high definition. There were still some storylines involving the adults but they felt more like mini stories just to give them something to do. That whacky gondala story was how you know Brad was transitioning to the next generation.
