The writers messed up, because Ridge knowing Brooke's mother was his father's mistress during the course of his parents marriage is more important than his mother and Thomas lie, because Brooke encouraged her mother to take Ridge's mother husband away from her, and then Brooke slept with Ridge's father and got pregnant after her mother had sex with Eric, and Ridge, Brooke did have reason to dought Thomas, because her arousing was very strong for Thomas and she had flash backs of Thomas and her.
