Kim Matula left the show because she didn't like the person Hope became. Hope started off as Miss Morals and Values. She tried desperately not to be what Brooke was and that's exactly what happened. Just like her mother she went through two brothers and dated both of them at the same time. Miss Linsey Godfrey also left the show for similar reasons. She didn't like what the writers turned Caroline into either. When Caroline first came on the show she was nice and sweet. Very classy and elegant and moralistic. She was almost like a blonde version of Taylor. But they ruined her character and turned her into another Brooke. They had her go through all the Forrester men. First she was with Thomas then she was with Rick. Then she was Ridge, then she went back to Thomas. They trashed the character of Caroline. I honestly don't blame Miss Linsey Godfrey for leaving.
