Hope was letting Liam court her to boost her ego all while Oliver was still trying to win her back after Brooke slept with him. Hope only started claiming Liam after he saved Steffy from drowning. After Liam rescued Steffy from the tub(and Bill) he helped Steffy see how Bill had in fact did her a HUGE FAVOR and that she was worth more than what he had given her. After that Steffy started seeing how her initial thoughts of Liam were wrong and she wanted to be his friend. Seeing how much he had cared enough to talk her out of her depression over Bill she felt she needed to be as equally good enough friend to help him see what Hope was doing to him and how immature she was that she wasn't ready for the type of relationship with him that he wanted. But after she tried to make her case and point made Liam upset and bothered...STEFFY BACKED OFF LIAM AND VOICED SHE WOULDN'T MAKE ANYMORE MOVES ON HIM! Hope over heard what Steffy said to Liam while at Bikini Bar about allowing him to continue his quest with Hope and gave them space. But Liam seeing that Steffy was only being genuine meant no harm...Liam turned the tables and opened up Pandora Box. Thus began B&B's next Love Triangle.

IMHO Liam put Hope so high on a pedestal that any sign of disappointment from Hope he runs to Steffy 🤔 meaning the 1st time Hope called off their engagement he just proposed to Steffy without finding out exactly whats going on until after he was married realizing it was his fault for kissing Steffy in the car the 2nd time in this episode Hopeless not showing up on time for their wedding n assumed she left him yet again, this time it was all Bill n Deacon.... let's fast forward to 2020/2021 when he thought Hope n Thomas was making out n he ran straight to Steffy n slept with her...I'm not a Hope fan but the 1st time Hope had her reasons 2nd n 3rd time ,it was Liam's fault it seems that he wants to see the worse in Hope just so he can be released from that promise he made to her years ago... Steffy is his true love, he broke her heart so many times through the years all because he looks at Hopeless as an angelic perfect woman....Steffy has been loyal to Liam from when he saved her from drowning until 2018 /2019 when she slept with Bill

He still has Hope on the pedestal. I agree with most of what you said, but I don't agree that Steffy and Liam are true loves. I think it's more of he ends up turning to Steffy because he can't stand to really be alone. Whenever his real first choice (Hope) has doubts, or he thinks she's unavailable, he's gotta go to that backup and make sure that one is still available. Steffy doesn't help herself either. Always available and a little voice in his ear telling him all these things about Hope. Steffy takes Liam anyway she can get him and that's not good either. Hope has been loyal to Liam, too. I guess maybe except for when Wyatt was along. Was there actual cheating involved? I don't know. Although I don't really condone a lot of Hope's actions during that time, it was nice, karmic justice for Liam. Liam and Hope are insecure people. Liam tells Hope he wants her and she just doesn't believe him because he loves Steffy, too.

Liam has gone through this before but he couldn't bring himself to try and find out what really happened with Hope not showing up but his first instinct is to run away with Steffy. If only he could have thought of why Hope broke his heart the first time and how it happened he should have the decency to wait and ask questions before assuming the worst and declared his love for Steffy. We know he wanna be LIKED like he's a good guy and when he witnesses his women being selfless and compassionate he falls deeper for them. With that being said after Steffy's selfless act of letting him off the hook and not begrudging him he felt the need to tell her that he loved her and passionately kiss her before he went to marry Hope. This poor boy was in turmoil at that wedding like he was in turmoil over Hope after marrying Steffy the 1st time and he was in turmoil once again when he had to marry Steffy again because she was pregnant. Loving 2 ppl at the same time is hard, the waffler doesn't have it easy too especially when he's not a jerk. Loving a jerk helps sometimes cos when he's jerky it's easier to let him go or dump him. Liam not so much, these women never get over him and he loves them both so much he doesn't get over them at all. Ivy never stood a chance 🤣
