I watched all the old shows, currently at season7, Stephanie messed up Brook, she became who she is because of Stephanie her bahaviour. She hated Brook from her guts from day one because she was the daughter of Erics first love, she tricked Eric with a pregnancy that wasen't even his child. As i see it Ridge abused her, their atraction was always a fatel atraction, the mommy pleaser wanted a wife in the image of his mother but much to his dismay, only Brook could satisfy him, he turned his back on her time after time but coulden't stand to see her happy with another man, the man is a narc just like his mommy
