The way Ridge and Stephanie talk about sex so casually.... I would've been mortified it were me and my mother talking about this subject!
@agnesmafaesa29223 жыл бұрын
Really, it's one thing being open with your mom, it's another, losing a sense of reference to an adult's seniority.I long realised Stephanie has no boundaries or a high level of morality, when she blamed Caroline's celibacy for Ridge's cheating, when they were engaged.Also, how she think Caroline's behaviour is acceptable to straddle between two biological brothers and she tongue kisses, Clark, whom she wants to date, her daughter.Ridge is as raw as Stephanie and notice, how raw Caroline and Brooke became after being intimate with him.Stephanie messed Ridge up.

He doesn't love Donna, it's infatuation and lust talking. I'm pretty positive that if he gets with Donna completely he will regret it. They are still teens so I feel like, then both growing up a little more, they would come back together. Katie is the best girl for him.

Another mention of the stillborn child. Ridge seems to already know about it. Don't think he would have remembered as he was probably too young so it must have been discussed with him before.

Rigde is here really wrong to suggest, steph was here the one at fault. Eric was the one who date two girls at the same time. Steph was 17 years old. Eric a couple of years older. He should have been the more mature one. He was the one supposedly so in love with Beth. Steph didn't really know there was someone else. Eric was the one who cheated on Beth. This is classic blaming the young women but never the man for his actions. This is so misogynistic and sexistic.
@veronicaalmeda80142 жыл бұрын
You forgot the story, he wasn't dating Stephanie but he did know her since she was the most popular back then, later he met her at a boat party where they had "fun", if you know what I mean. He was dating Beth but she wasn't his girlfriend officially, he wanted to marry her but then Stephanie came to him telling hi she was pregnant of him. I won't spoil the drama but there is so much juicy stuff in the future lop.

That is the second episode that has Ridge accusing his mother that she had intentionally used sex and had gotten pregnant to get his father away from the other girl Eric had seen at college. But no, in that episode there is no slap like there had been when Ridge had made these accusations for the first time. Even when he had asked Stephanie if she still had been a virgin, Stephanie stayed calm when she told Ridge that she wasn't going to answer that question.
@v.b60283 жыл бұрын
I can tell you now if I asked my mother if she was a virgin before marriage, she’d do more than slap my face off. Ridge is lucky she didn’t slap him again. He’s totally blaming her & Eric was part of that night. Eric was never a saint. I’m sick of the blame going to Stephanie.

@@Donderdrammels I remember that Stephanie told Ridge that she had wanted Eric but had first played hard to get, until the partying and the boat trip happened and she ended up pregnant. We won't ever know 100% because there are no flashbacks, but Stephanie at least had seen Beth during college time. Even when Stephanie couldn't remember Eric's former love well anymore, Stephanie mentioned that the woman had been a blonde and had looked kinda plain. In episode 33, when she finally had had sex again with Eric after months, Stephanie then brought up Kristen really being the love of Eric's life and then adding that there also had been Eric's other love, the "blond" woman from college (at that time Beth still played by the blond actress). When Stephanie talked to Ridge, she mentioned the woman that Eric had been dating and that Stephanie can't remember that woman much, but from what Stephanie remembers that woman just seemed so "plain". (Dec. 21, 1987 in the playlist here).
@mara44503 жыл бұрын
@@Donderdrammels That's why I said we won't ever 100% know how it has happened, people can only interpret the dialogue however they want. Even the dialogue that we got has been kinda ambiguous and funny in a strange way. We had Stephanie stating at one time she can't remember the other woman, but had before that talking about that woman's hair color, then had her talking about that she remembers the woman as kinda being plain and that she wouldn't really think that woman would be "Eric's type". What "type" was Eric supposed to have, when Stephanie only knew about 2 women in Eric's life? Herself and the college girl Eric had dated before her? In some scenes Stephanie confronted Eric about his former love, had confronted him in a scene if he still regretted and blamed her that he had to break up with his former girlfriend because of Stephanie's pregnancy - and then when talking to her son Ridge about the woman that Eric still had feelings for after decades and had started to see again, we had Stephanie suddenly stating that that plain woman she remembered, didn't fit in her opinion Eric's type of woman. (On one hand I enjoy the writing of that time, but I so often also wondered about the contradictions of the words of the characters/ their contradicting opinions).

So, Beth had not been intimate with Eric ? And Stephanie came and gave him, what Beth did not ? 😳😳😳😳
@mara44503 жыл бұрын
Beth had been written as being old fashioned with high morals. Beth was very upset when Donna moved out and in with Mark, she also tried to keep Brooke from going away with Ridge for a trip, tried to warn Brooke off and to be more like Caroline. Beth thought that god was punishing her because of her emotional affair with a married man and ruining a marriage. Beth had been seen by Eric as being a warm and caring woman. Stephanie had been the rich and beautiful college freshman that every man on campus had wanted (Eric's words), but who quickly had wanted Eric but had played hard to get (Stephanie's words). When Eric met Beth again and explained why he had suddenly stopped contacting her and had broken up the contact (Stephanie's pregnancy), he blamed the ONS on alcohol (but in Stephanie's version for Ridge Stephanie and Eric had been in love). Different people different versions. (and maybe different versions depending on who they are talking with ?? )

@@mara4450 So, Stephanie was the one who initially wanted Eric and Eric was reluctant?I see Beth is warm and tender, unlike with Stephanie, Sheila, even Brooke and Donna.Eric has a relationship which is purely about caring for someone, not obligation , just attraction or sexual.I will go as far as saying John McCook has the best chemistry with the lady playing Beth.
@mara44503 жыл бұрын
@@agnesmafaesa2922 I said it in another post, we won't ever know how it really has played out, no flashbacks. According to Eric's words to Beth, he had very strong feelings for Beth and had wanted to marry her one day. Eric told Beth that Stephanie's pregnancy had happened because of alcohol and partying. Stephanie told Ridge that she had quickly wanted Eric but had not shown that to Eric. She even told Eric that she had played hard to get, when she really had wanted Eric (the episode with Stephanie and Eric in bed, talking about college time) Stephanie and Eric have seen each other, when their students sorority/fraternity had parties together. They might have talked then - until the students trip with that boat that one student's father owned. But characters change their way of talking over time. We had Stephanie and Eric in 1987 talking if they only had stayed together for the kids, had Stephanie once asking Eric if he ever had really loved her and if, why she had not felt that love. Had Stephanie talking about how Eric had been in love with someone else in college and how he had never been able to get over that woman (and had Eric acting that way, even when he had not instantly recognized Beth when he had met her again). But when Stephanie was in bed with Eric, she talked about how she had missed these passionate moments, how she had forgotten them, had Stephanie reminding Eric and Ridge that they had had 5 pregnancies (4 children, 1 stillborn (not really)) during the first 10 years (was it 8 years?) of their marriage.

While I don’t particularly like Ridge’s personality he is conceited ,SelfServing and smug I have to say Ronn Moss played this part extremely well and it must have been tough on fans when both he and Susan Flannery left B&B after 25 years as Original cast members in November 2012. I can’t imagine anyone else playing Ridge . I can’t stand Brooke either another selfish liar who is so stuck up and self centred but again Katherine Kelly Lang nails it in the role❤😊
