So, somebody tell me again stephanie isn't genuinely capable of compassion. She was nice. She had a loving and caring side in her. She wasn't cold. Life and Erics cheating and betrayal some time down the line changed her.

Yes she has a loving and caring side, and also she is capable of self sacrificing for her children (for example going to jail so that Thorne doesn't) but her evil, ruthless side surpass any good she has

@@Donderdrammels I agree that this can happen to people who have had bad things happen to them before. But in general, not just about the character of Stephanie, I have little understanding about such people, I DO understand their suffering (many of us had bad things happen to us, some more some less) but the moment someone is being rude or cruel towards people who are not responsible for their suffering they lose my compassion. And that goes for less significant things, for example if someone is having a bad day I can't justify them being rude to a restaurant server or a retail employee

@@Donderdrammels No I don't think she acted a certain way to Brooke or the Logans out of boredom, it's her reasons I had a problem with. For example she disliked Brooke before she suspected about the letter merely because she thought she was interested in her son. I really saw nothing wrong in that. And even though Brooke gave her reasons later to dislike her and hate her, the cruelty towards Brooke was too much, I felt so sorry for Brooke even though she is not flawless. I remember a scene (I cant seem to find it) when Brooke was having an affair with Eric and nobody knew about it by then, Brooke was out of her life and Stephanie just went to see Brooke to accuse her that she is responsible her husband is restless because Brooke used to live at their home? Something like that. She had to go bully Brooke again even if she was out of their lives

@@Donderdrammels The scene I was referring to was not the one at Ridge and Caroline wedding (that one I found but with really bad sound not understanding almost anything, though I did watch it on TV many years ago), It was later when Brooke was pregnant and in that scene Stephanie noticed that there was something different about her, that she gained weight etc. That scene was at the Logan house if I am not wrong. I don't disagree with many of the things you say however I would like to give you some parts I disagree with: Up to the point Stephanie discovers it's Beth, I am not sure there is really any affair. It is really Eric chasing Beth, Beth tries a few times to avoid him, not doing a very good job I can say, but she is in love. But there are no plans for a divorce yet, there is no sexual affair. And Brooke is her daughter. I think it's normal she would protect her and want someone good for her mother. Whether Eric is good is debatable but well. When Stephanie was supporting Brooke during her pregnancy, I remember her indeed supporting her for the reasons you mentioned, but also still being cruel at times, it was so sick, Brooke never knew if today Stephanie will be nice or not. And after the miscarriage Brooke gave her a gift to thank her for her support, and Stephanie was cold with her again. I do agree with you Brooke shouldn't blame Stephanie for Ridge choosing Caroline, and if Brooke said that she was wrong. Ridge does as he pleases. But I think Brooke's revenge later was mostly for the way she was treated. Also I agree that it was the Logans' choice to go to Paris, even though there was SOME pressure since Steven would lose his job if he didn't go, and I am not sure how a man his age would be able to find something as good so he didn't want to lose this opportunity. So there was a little bit of forcing there. And Brooke knew that, and that Stephanie made that happen. In a way Stephanie helped them get richer actually, but I also understand Brooke's problem with Stephanie manipulating all that. Besides all her mistakes, the main and most important thing I can accuse Brooke of is putting up with Stephanie's bullying and trying to get her to like her and in later years going to the hospital and helping Stephanie come out of it when she was poisoned with mercury pills. And also not slapping her back when she first slapped her. At least the 3rd time Stephanie slapped her she got all 3 slaps back in one.

Wow Stephanie wants to be friends with Beth! I love Stephanie but trust me.....she wants to be friends with your husband. The Logans look scared out of their mind. I think Stephanie was actually trying to soften towards Brooke, but we see why that didn't happen...🤨 There is Brooke again with that look. Eric did all this to get Beth, but ended up with Brooke. How does that even happen....especially since they LOVE EACHOTHER so much.

Why she covering it if she didn't hear bout Stephanie trying to figure out who she is? Beth ain't came for Eric at all. He recognized her and she said yes it was her and plus brooke inserted herself by meeting Caroline and it's coincidence her mom caters and did a good job at the forresterd and thus everything else moving forward.

It was a bit premature for Clark to break up with Kristen, just after she's taken his design to her father and just before it goes into the production line. She'll clearly feel used which wasn't his intention at all.. I'm sure Stephanie will be livid.

Brooke sure kept Storm waiting outside the hospital entrance with the car a long time... It would have been wonderful to see a period after this of Beth and Stephanie trying to be friends. I can see it now... Steph hating her for coming between her and Eric, Beth feeling guilty and pushing Eric away, then Angela being revealed and Beth defending Steph for keeping that a secret (which as I recall does happen), leading Steph to soften once again towards her with possibilities for the future... would have been an interesting storyline.

Kristen is very disappointing. She herself took the initiative in their relationship. Clark didn't promise her anything. It was her idea to show Clark's work to her father. This is the only issue that connects her with Clark. She knows nothing more about him. They weren't even close, and she had already decided everything for both of them.

How are you? That happened to my mom 20 years ago. In a few days it will be one month since she died. Seeing the scene with Brooke sitting with her mom was like a punch in the stomach. I felt l need to go spend time with my mom and realized she's not here. I gotta say these scenes are difficult. I would rather skip over them. Do you find it helpful to see them?
