Suppression of her love/ passion for Ridge is common in rape trauma victim especially with Thorne’s hasty proposal demanding an answer and not getting Ridge letter or closure of her relationship with Ridge ( cos she was sequestered in Logan house/ with cunning Thorne ensuring CRIDGE did not meet/ride together on verdict day). Also Caring for Thorne is out of gratitude for his support during rape and YES SHE MARRIED HIM OUT OF That gratitude ( this is explained later keep watching); she LOVES THORNE BUT is NOT IN LOVE WITH THORNE! A small continuity issue here. Brooke asked how Stephanie knew about Stephen’s job. But Stephanie already revealed to Brooke that she knew about his job because Caroline had requested it from her dad (which was true). What Stephanie revealed was that she arranged for Stephen’s job and pays his wages. Not sure why she revealed this to Brooke.
