I think Thorne would divorce Caroline if she would just be as honest with him as she is with Stephanie and if Caroline openly tells Thorne that she still loves his brother and wants to confess to him. We already had Thorne at the hospital thinking about divorce when he had learned that Caroline never had wanted to go with him on that European trip - but Stephanie blasted Caroline about Caroline's lack of empathy for her vulnerable husband - and Caroline focused again on Thorne and even was intimate with him. We still have Thorne wondering about Caroline's feelings, but Caroline only has been planning to confess to Ridge but not yet Thorne (who still was "honey"), now Caroline is even again having sex with Thorne. If you want to leave your husband, then be honest with him and don't wait for him to be the one making the first step. Or if you do that, then just keep being the cold and uninterested wife, keep rejecting him, but don't give him any hope for your marriage.

Relationships deserves time effort forgiveness and chances. Thorne should not have made a play for his brother's fiancee, that is unethical. While I generally agree that it is unethical to go after your brother's fiance or ex-girlfriend, Caroline hadn't really been Ridge's fiance at the time Thorne got closer to her. Caroline had been angry after Ridge's second betrayal and had questioned their relationship. When she got raped, she had not wanted anyone to tell Ridge about it and had not wanted to see Ridge. And Ridge has definitely not acted as if he still had been "engaged". Thorne, Eric, Kristen and Stephanie in two different episodes commented about the newspaper articles and how playboy Ridge Forrester was back in circulation, Forrester playboy again being seen with another woman. We had Ridge arguing with Stephanie that Ridge dating other women would make Caroline jealous and would make her want Ridge back and them to get married. Neither of these characters is really "ethical". It is not ethical to cheat on your "fiance" before the wedding by having sex with another woman, it wouldn't really be ethical either if you openly date other women if you are still "engaged". And Caroline also kissed Thorne, when he comforted her after her rape. That wouldn't be really ethical either. But yes, officially and legally Caroline is now Thorne's wife, until she files the papers for a divorce.

Ridge is suppressing his feelings for now, but after the miscarriage later on, her will abstain from sex with Brooke for a while. Right now , he doesnt seem to have a problem in his relationship with Brooke, because the option of having a relationship with Caroline (from his point of view,) is long gone because Caroline doesnt want him.

Caroline and Thorne though, there is no turning back., and it has nothing to do with anger. Caroline cares for him, but I don't think she would ever again be able to be intimate with him without pressuring herself, even if she lived for years, but I may be wrong about that.

There has been at least one other time. Ep. 393 Thorne at that time insisted that they be intimate, that their marriage needs that. Caroline had sex with Thorne and while Thorne had been happy afterwards and said that he hopes it meant as much for Caroline as it had for him, Caroline didn't look happy and even cried (her back to Thorne so that he could not see her face).
