She would rather scheme and manipulate than protect her friends from violence, the elements and starvation.

Stephanie is known for ignoring, and especially attacking people (women especially, and mostly for a man) who have been her friends, actually helped her or even saved her life. Although I think it is not exactly the case with Ruth, since they will remain friends, and Ruth will eventually be off the streets back with her family. (I wonder if Ruth's family didn't get her back, where would she be) Ruth should have been her first priority as soon as she got her memory back and maybe even before. She could have been seriously injured or dead if it wasn't for Ruth.

@@trinit2108 I agree, but on the other hand, i do think Stephanie must have been battling inner daemons as she regained her memory. Imagining meeting someone one day and thinking they are a nice person, and then the next day remembering all the horrible things you perceive that person did to you (I.e Brooke). The intensity of emotion would be huge and so this may have been way too much for Stephanie to process that she should help her friends. So in this, I have a little more patience with Stephanie about this. I just can’t imagine how a newly formed hatred built upon an old one would feel. 👀

Brooke isn't upset because she really thinks Eric is going to leave her for Stephanie. She's upset because she's not getting to enjoy her revenge over Stephanie! It's clear Brooke would rather be with Ridge but she married Eric partly to get even -- to flaunt her marriage over a jealous and defeated enemy. But Stephanie has denied her that satisfaction by 1) disappearing for weeks and now 2) not remembering anything.

Stephanie even at one time pushed Ridge to marry Brooke !!)

Brooke did want to hurt Stephanie, she swore revenge several times. However I don't think she used her relationship to Eric for that. If she did, why would she run for Paris to have an abortion the moment she thought Eric and Stephanie were getting back together. Wouldn't she for example, run to Stephanie with these news to start hurting her? Or demand to Eric that he leaves Stephanie etc. Use this pregnancy in several ways to hurt Stephanie, from the beginning she found out she was pregnant. She did none of those things, she left the (what Brooke thought) reconciling couple alone and took it upon herself to end her pregnancy.

@@marn25 That is why i said she can't admit it to herself...she has convinced herself of having noble intentions but her love for Eric was fed by her desire to avenge and hurt Steph. The same applies to Ridge really. He does care for Brooke of course , but he will convince himself that he loves and belongs with Brooke because in his subconscious he feels he is fulfilling his late wife's desires for him and he wants to honour that. We will see him blaming Eric for moving forward with Brooke even though he knew that (forgetting that Eric and Brooke were together before Caroline passing). I think Taylor will also acknowledge that too to Blake, that Ridge is really in love with Caroline at this point , actually this whole storyline prepares us for the introduction of Faith/Karen ( which by the time it is concluded will be meaningless because the viewers were already fans of RIdge/Brooke/Taylor triangle and let's face it Karen was never Caroline).

@@greggel Ah ok, you mean subconsciously Brooke got with Eric to hurt Stephanie, so deep inside that even she can't realize, maybe. It is a bit confusing to interpret Ridge's feelings because he changes his mind easily and fast, and the "sacrifices" apply for 2 things, Fulfilling Caroline's wish to be with Brooke, and then sacrificing Brooke and Caroline's wish and choosing to propose to Taylor so that his father is happy, So which of the 2 is the sacrifice and what did Ridge really want? In general though Ridge could be happy of either of 3 particular women, that is the only certain thing, provided another wasn't in the picture making the other insecure etc. It just has been longer with Brooke, I imagine because the actress hasn't had many break from the show.

Later on they share a daughter ( so they thought) and later on after 2003 it was written like Brooke was Ridge’s one ignoring his history with Taylor. I think now with Krista Allen recast they are trying to establish that Ridge also shares a strong bond with Taylor again

If memory serves, Brooke has a bit of satisfaction when BeLief is patented, and I seem to remember her having 51% shares in Forrester. I think there was a scene where Brooke kicks Stephanie out of her own office, because now she's the big boss. She winds up giving her rights to BeLief back to the Forresters, though. However, by this time, I was only watching sporadically, so I know I missed a lot of the plot.
