@@rosamariann I know everyone sees it differently, but this is how I see it, based on what's played out on screen : Steph went to the police to get advice as to how to have him to stay away from Jessica. She didn't call the police initially to lock him up bc she didn't even know he had commited a crime at that point until the police told her it was a crime (she didn't even know his age), but I guess they convinced her they could lock him up and I guess she figured a night or 2 in jail would be enough to have Dylan reconsider pursuing jess. She's been saying all along that she was in two minds about going ahead with prosecution.. All she wants is for Dylan to stay away from Jessica, not to ruin his life with a criminal record. The person who has been spewing venom at Dylan and on a soap box about teen pregnancies and has never wavered on wanting Dylan prosecuted, was Eric. When Steph told him what happened and Dylan was arrested, Eric was the one who was all in Dylan's face at the jail and he's the one who kept telling the police he wants to prosecute, no matter what. Steph has always been sensitive to Jessica's feelings (and good for her bc if it were me, Jessica was going packing by her uncle ASAP). But walking in to Jessica's room and seeing this man on top of her in bed really was the last straw, and understandably so. And even with that, she's still treating Jessica with kid gloves. If jess was staying at Eric's and he walked in to see Dylan on the bed with her after sneaking into the house, you could bet he would also be enraged and was more than just calling the police..he'd prob have dragged him off the bed and thrown Dylan out the window...

Taylor's confidence in her own imminent victory echoes Brooke's delusional belief that Ridge would choose her once he found out that Bridget was (supposedly) his daughter. And Taylor is making the exact same miscalculation that Brooke did regarding Ridge's motivation - neither of them takes into account Ridge's fundamental _inertia_ - his tendency to stay with his current wife _regardless of who she is._ He is perfectly capable of being happy with both women, so his motivation to leave one happy home for another equally happy home simply isn't strong enough to make it worth the trouble for him.

To me, Taylor was always the better partner because her relationship with Ridge was one of deep, balanced partnership and not just sex-centric like Brooke's. Taylor was very crafty in her approach with Ridge. She gave him her ear to spill out his conflicting feelings. She let him know he had her heart while he was romancing Brooke. Ridge knew Taylor had a thing for him so when push came to shove….Ridge jumped ship with Brooke he went after Taylor! Perfect plan…Taylor won Ridge by default…😁 Taylor in her delusion believes Ridge chose her over Brooke because loved her more than Brooke? And that Ridge still loves her more than Brooke. Yet…Taylor could never be sure of her hold on Ridge…because she knows Brooke remains in his heart as well.😮

Prince Omar needs to have Taylor examined because she's hallucinating. She ignores the time she was single and Brooke was married to Ridge's dad and he still planned for a life with Brooke over free and fawning Taylor. It wasn't until Eric went blind that Ridge decided he couldn't hurt his father and then turned to Taylor. To act like Ridge never reciprocated Brooke's feelings is silly.
