Whenever I watch the footage from the Rotterdam concert, I catch myself grinning from ear to ear. Those scenes are just so INCREDIBLY HAPPY it's contagious. Everyone looks like they're genuinely having the time of their lives - from Sally hamming it up surrounded by handsome guys, to Eric looking like a grandpa who just snuck out on stage to fulfill a boyish childhood dream, to Thorne and Macy absolutely nailing it and enjoying every minute of it, to all those thousands of fans in the audience, from young people to little old grandmas, dancing, clapping, jumping up and down and singing along to every song.

@annieo6527 Yes Annie, I feel exactly the same! I remember when I got the complete concert on a videotape about 28 yrs ago, I watched it every single day for weeks, if not months. It was kind of my happy treat when I got home from a busy day at work. The whole gig just makes you happy and smiling and singing along. And I'm still as excited about it as I've been almost 30 yrs ago 😍 I hope so much that Bobbie and Jeff will come back to Europe together one day! 😍 It was so wonderful to see Bobbie in Amsterdam this year. How GREAT would it be to see them back together after all these years! 😍😍😍

Jeff and Bobbie were themselves as they infact performed in concert before an audience of 10,000 in Rotterdam. B&B incorporated into their storyline. Ingenius!

I think the show did a really good job of incorporating the concert into the plot. It could easily have been just a "special episode" but instead they built it up as the culmination of a storyline (like they do with the fashion shows).

The Bells did a phenomenal job creating this concert! Thorne and Macy are super awesome singers, especially together!! I didn't watch this show back then, not even the beginning seasons!! I am just enjoying this storyline of Thorne and Macy, but I dread the end result, having Macy dealing with a tumor in her throat! I wish the Bells kept this music career storyline of Thorne and Macy ongoing for a long while.

When Sally proudly greets Macy as she comes backstage during the intermission with "You had them in the palm of your hand!" it's hard to miss that that is a statement that one would typically use about _Sally Spectra herself,_ not about Macy. Macy is usually Sally's opposite in that regard - she is not bold, flamboyant, or attention-seeking, and she is life-like rather than larger-than-life. But when she sings, that changes. She clearly thrives in the spotlight and easily commands the attention of an audience. Macy is never more powerful than when she is on stage. In her everyday life, she often finds it hard to make her voice heard. When she sings, _everyone_ listens. So the pride in Sally's voice also came across as a kind of acknowledgement that Macy really is her mother's daughter after all. Macy has inherited her stage presence from Sally.

The truth is the Rotterdam concert will always be the B&B highpoint. I think it holds so many special TV watching memories for many of us☺️. Those B grade storylines that distract from it...not so much😂 .

Missed storyline opportunity: Omar and Taylor/Leila should have gone to Holland for their honeymoon, and ended up at the Rotterdam concert. The sight of Omar attempting to dance😂. And then either Thorne or Eric lock eyes with Taylor and begin to contemplate the face that lies behind the veil...

A really great episode and high point for Thorne and Macy as we would have longed to see them together, even with the anxiety and hope that Macy would not croak and lead to confusion - LIVE. However, I think the episode came up just short by an unwarranted pace back and forth between scenes in L.A. and Morocco. Those were not necessary. Let Rotterdam prevail as the glory of the episode entirely, soak in the awesomeness and blend of Thorne and Macy. The other storylines were of no merit to what could have been the perfect episode, even with Eric and Sally sharing some good vibes.

I think it's quite typical of the "hierarchy" in the writing - Thorne and Macy and everything related to them are so clearly the "B storyline" that they are rarely allowed to shine, even when they should be. When I think of all the endless scenes we got from Morocco and the Bridge honeymoon, and meanwhile we had one Thorne/Macy scene every two weeks...

@susankent6051 : I guess you're right about Taylor only loving Ridge. Blake Hayes, Taylor's first husband, said it very well to Taylor: Ridge is like an addiction, a drug for her! Nonetheless, I am sure she would be happier with Prince Omar who is not a creep but a first-class gentleman respectful to the point he was ready to sleep on the floor in order to reassure his new bride. Would Ridge do that? Never, he'd sleep right away in the same bed than Taylor. Ridge is even known to go sleep in the beds of married women (remember the "prank" on Caroline?) Yes, but they didn't just do that one concert. They came back in 1995 to give more concerts and in December 1997/January 1998 they did a whole christmas tour with I guess it were about 10 concerts. I was lucky enough to join most gigs of this tour. It was absolutely awesome 😍
