I loved it too. I hate that Amber and Taylor never share any scenes of friendship after Taylor comes back. It takes so many years before they even have a scene together again, and when they finally do, it’s like they were never close friends :(

It's not only that Kimberlin Brown plays well, it's also the way they direct her scenes, usually with dark background music, intense, and 12 seconds of her just thinking about criminal plan. This is unique for her character.

Great points Kobi! This is the closest B&B ever gets to Y&R's directing style and tone and I wonder if it's because Sheila started there so the show already has an idea of how to portray her from watching that.

​​@@lil_jon411I've been checking the number of times they have bridgit and Deacon in a scene together lately. And it is very few times. I've seen Deacon in more scenes with Megan talking about this "impossible" love between him and Brooke, with barely any mention of his wife. I think the writers have realised how indsecribably insane and disgusting it is for Brooke to be sleeping and infatuated with her own daughter's husband. Even they feel they've crossed a line (and def fans of Brooke haven't been able to give one good excuse for this over the top behaviour). So I think they aren't putting Bridigt and Deacon together as much anymore so that we can either forget or not feel so badly about Brooke and Deacon

Amber's literally acting like she usually does. Macy was a better representation of someone hooked on something. Anyway I'm surprised that Amber has any pills left in that bottle since she was eating them like Tik Tak.. Meanwhile, the way Amber fell at Taylor's door, she should have been on her way to a hospital ASAP to pump her stomach.

Well, I am finding Amber's story moving. I have always loved Taylor's strength and kindness. Her words at 9:23... I miss her already and she hasn't even left yet. I was ready to get all cranky at Rick for calling Amber a junkie (honestly, he can be such an ignorant, spoiled, snooty little brat) but even he redeemed himself in the end. I think the writing is effective.

As @Nick has pointed out, Sheila and Erica have a mother/daughter dynamic where Sheila is the one doing the "bad" (or questionable) things, so that Erica is allowed to stay "good", which is a pattern previously established with Tawny/Amber, Stephanie/Taylor, and even Sally/Macy. It is apparent in this episode as well, with Sheila wanting Erica to go after Rick while he and Amber are having problems.

I'm still trying to understand what Erica does and doesn't know about her mother. What was their life like before Erica moved to LA? Were they always in hiding? Does Erica know her mother is a fugitive but she doesn't know the details? In the next episode, Erica tells Sheila not to come over because she doesn't want the Forresters to see her. But she doesn't know about Sheila's history with them right?

Fitting then that the last act of "old Taylor" should be compassionate and caretaking, using her therapist skills to help another person. And then of course she risks her life to save Eric and Brooke. It's like they made her the Ultimate Taylor before they destroyed her.

Interesting how the show has turned 100% of the focus to Amber and Erica in recent days. All of the other stories are taking the backseat as Sheila is on almost every day since she returned. They are right, this is the only good story for now until Bridget finds out the truth. Wonder how actors reacted to being sidelined, for example I wonder if Hunter Tylo wanted to take some time off, or that she was upset and angry for not being used.

Because Rick and Amber are trying to establish themselves as Little Eric’s parents. There has been previous tension when Deacon became too involved. Rick and Amber are his adoptive parents. They don’t want to confuse the child by sharing him with his biological father (who didn’t even want him until he was adopted by rich people). Also, Bridget is Rick’s sister so it would just be too incest.

The whole situation is awkward, and has that crazy feeling but not anything incestuous, Neither Rick or Amber are blood relatives (not that blood makes a parent ) . Bridget technically being stepmom to Deacons child is awkward because Deacon is sleeping with grandma Brooke behind Bridget’s back. So even if Deacon has a limited role so Amber and Rick can establish some stability , the fact is, Bridget is still,someone that could be trusted to babysit . Even going to Deacon is not wrong (might be wrong to us because we already know about the whole Brooke thing but to them there’s nothing wrong with asking them to step in while there’s an actual problem). Rick is not a blood relative of little Eric’s anyway, even though he is very much a father to him…. So I’m not quite sure how you would say incest comes into play anywhere? ,,once Bridget finds out what Brooke and Deacon have done, then I think everything becomes so disgusting and wrong. But again, if you bring up the word incest then you might as well say everyone is , when you think of who they’ve all been with on the show . The way people sleep around and sleep their way through a family is something that’s happened all around. Just wait, when the truth comes out about Ridge’s paternity , just watch how him and Bridget actually share a kiss because they find out they’re no longer blood relatives. Talk about an incestuous feeling. But in this sense, might be the wrong word . I’m not arguing, I’m genuinely confused . OK I wanna stop rambling and I’m gonna stop bringing up that word because it’s just giving me the creeps

It’s bad enough they reduced a great character like Sheila to a cheerleader for a couple we can care less about, but how exactly did she think it was gonna work out for Erica? Eventually the forresters or even Ric would ask her about her family and with her not knowing who her father is and not knowing about their history with her mother, she would eventually want Sheila to meet them. What is she gonna do then? If Sheila tells Erica the truth she runs the risk of her exposing her which would send her back in hiding and ruing Erica and Rics relationship. If she doesn’t tell Erica and just refuses to go to their events wouldn’t Erica find that strange and start asking questions?
