Setting the climax amidst a storm isn't innovative storytelling but sometimes you gotta just play the hits. It works. I also like how the lights came on just as Rick learned Erica's identity, signifying his "enlightenment" and allowing him to finally see Erica clearly (as she's trying to sneak out the door).

Not that I'm rooting for Amber or anything, bc I really don't care what happens to her, but .. What, exactly, is she fighting for? Her husband has been doing absolutely zero all this time, but moan with the babysitter about his bad life and how much he can't trust Amber. He basically did nothing to save his marriage. You'd think Rick would have hired a PI to investigate Lance, with the same zest as when he wanted to find Deacon to get custody. Or get a lawyer on the case, like when he was pestering jonathon to draw up the custody papers for lil Eric. Taylor had to call Connor Davis AND pay Amber's bail .. Amber's going to go back to Rick who didn't lift a finger to help her, but who was throwing a party for the babysitter, for doing her job of babysitting? Honestly if I were Amber, I would see Rick as a big red flag and let him go with Erica.

With this recent bonding of Eric and Brooke, I think it would've made much more sense to put them back together. Then it would have ended this new random friendship between her and Stephanie. Stephanie could have stayed with Massimo. And Ridge could've had a brand new love interest after Taylor's death. Instead they go the lazy route and eventually put rebound Bridge together 🤢🤮

@@WhistleMeThis I like that about Rick aswell.He is not the one to give into temptation easily and takes commitment seriously.Reminds me of a conversation he has with Brooke about importance of family and whether she loved Rick and Bridget the same when she was begging him to leave Amber for Kimberly since apparently he didn’t love Amber the way he did Kimberly. He even chose to stay with Amber when Tawny had pointed a gun at Kimberly and everyone thought Rick would end it.IMO he is unlike Brooke and Eric in this regard when it comes to following temptation and has somewhat of a mature outlook like Stephanie.The only time he kind of cheated Amber was I think with Amanda when they were playing some stupid game and he kissed her.

I am glad that I misremembered earlier, and we actually do get to see Sheila and Stephanie in the same scene in this storyline. It is, however, not a really satisfying scene (which is probably why I forgot about it), as Stephanie's main focus is on Amber, and Sheila's on Massimo, and so Sheila and Stephanie only speak a few words to each other. They will eventually have a real conversation before Sheila's exit, though.

I agree. I do like how even though Sheila's holding a g un, Stephanie is fearless and unafraid to check her, "I think you're a terrible person. What have you done to your daughter?" Just like at the Goodbye Party when Sheila was also holding a g un and Stephanie remained unbothered and called her crazy. 😂 That's why Sheila had to shoot her in the back last time. Waving a weapon in Stephanie's fa c e doesn't faze her.

The fact that Sheila and Steph didn't have their whole rivalry play out, with Sheila focusing on Amber for some strange reason this whole time, makes the story underwhelming. The 5 minutes it took Steph to figure out it was Sheila and who was her daughter was the most riveting part of this whole storyline.

Brooke and Eric remarry in (2005?). However it’s brief and there’s no love/romance storyline. It lasts for like a day and I think they just do it to get back at Stephanie and take control of the company. Something like that.

Sooo.. As usual, Eric's family is falling apart, and it takes Steph to save the day, while he's none the wiser and more interested in his s E x life. Meanwhile, I had to chuckle at Brooke's declaration that it wasn't often she felt that something was wrong with her children... Of course she never felt that, bc she's too self absorbed to know if they were alive or unalive. Only reason bridgit has her attention now is bc she's obssessed with getting back in her good graces.

Still a strange writing for the Stephanie-Eric marriage. Eric never brought up the topic of getting a divorce, even when his wife lived with Massimo and Eric had to think that these two are romantically involved (Massimo being Stephanie's date at the Whip-Brooke wedding). Now Stephanie and Eric have gotten closer again, Stephanie now living at the second Forrester guest house and they spending more time together.... - but today Eric seems to enjoy flirting with Brooke.

Takeaways from recent episodes 1. Taylor Stans are almost as cr inge as Brock’s (yes, Brock not a typo). 2. Sheitla as a villain is no longer fun to watch 3. Rick should consider a s ex change, might make a cuter girl than his sisters. 4. Disappointed at the cozy and peaceful tone of the comment section, with not a single word about the leather statue standing in Steph’s kitchen holding Nope. (still hoping for an accidental drop).
