This is supposed to be a triumphant moment for Brooke but KKL's voice and muppet acting undermines even that for the character.
@annieo652719 сағат бұрын
This scene between Brooke and Stephanie is probably the whole reason why the Massimo retcon was done in the first place - to dethrone Stephanie and make her and Brooke look like they are two of a kind. But this completely disrupts the whole premise of the show, which is that Stephanie and Brooke represent completely opposite vaIues systems. If they are essentially the same, the entire "for ce field" between them disappears. It is done only to eIevate Brooke's status at Stephanie's expense, but with no consideration for the dynamic of the show as a whole. Note how _every wife_ whose marriage Brooke has ever disrupted is being destroyed in this season, in order to redeem Brooke and make her the main femaIe romantic Iead. First it was Taylor, who simply died. Then it was Bridget, who the writers had fall in love with her brother (who is also her mother's fiancé). Now it is Stephanie, who has kept the paternity of her firstborn a secret. That leaves only Macy, who will emerge as Brooke's new nemesis but then immediately get kiIIed off so as not to upstage Brooke.

Exactly. And in fact it doesn't just make Stephanie & Brooke the same; in this episode it makes Stephanie look _worse_ by making her out to be a hypocrite ("I never pretended to be a paragon of virtue."). This is just ruinous for the show. The entire premise of the series is the clash of values and worldviews between Stephanie and Brooke, between a kind of moral traditionalism and a modern individualism.

_"Eric would have married my mother. She would have been a Forrester. @AnnieO. I literally said "What is this fantasy family that Brooke is talking about?" And then Steph said it as well.. Eric and Beth could have gotten married, sure. They might have had Brooke.. Sure. But for sure they would not have been living in Beverly hills bc what they for sure would NOT have had, was Steph's money and connections to make Forrester Creations. Eric would have just been just another struggling designer... He might have been working for Sally lol. Brooke has always lived in LA LA land, but this is a ridiculous stretch, even for her.

Brooke and her whole family have always felt entitled. Funny thing is, if Beth had married Eric and made some spawn like Brooke and her sisters, they'd be Forresters, but they would still be poor nobodies. And Steph who was rich would prob be married to another wealthy man (or help make some man grow a multi million dollar business), and have a handsome son in the newspaper that Brooke would slobber all over... and then she'd feel entitled to have the last name of that family instead.

“You committed the same crime as me” uh Brooke, Steph wasn’t married to one while she slept with the other, and at least they weren’t father and son when she had to question the child’s paternity. They’re trying so hard to bring Steph down to Brooke’s level and it’s not working or believable. The whole problem of solving Bridget’s paternity wouldn’t have been an issue if she wasn’t cheating with her stepson, or better yet wouldn’t have rebounded to ridges father after breaking up with him. Steph has yet to sleep her way through a family like Brooke has, and she’s never gone after married men.
