He is renaming the company "LOGAN Designs", what more proof to show he believes in her talent? They are just using the Spectra building and workshop. Spectra as a brand, is thrown in the garbage, They are not using Spectra as a well known name and successful company. If it wasn't Spectra's resources, they would just have to use another building. Of course indeed he is ungrateful after everything Sally and especially Macy have done for them. Ridge isn't the nicest person ever.

Just wanted to reiterate how much I like the actress who plays Deacon and Macy’s lawyer. She really does seem like an actual lawyer, both in demeanor and in the advice she’s giving (which I know is dialogue down to writing, but still). I wish there’d been a reason to keep her character on the show.

From what we were told, this adoption hearing was requested by Rick and Amber, not Deacon and Macy. In other words, this is not about Deacon trying to get custody (which, as Eric's IegaI guardian, I assume he already has - and _still_ he lets Little Eric live with Rick and Amber), this hearing is about Amber and Rick wanting to _end_ Deacon's parental rights by adopting the child. Rick and Amber keep talking about how Deacon and Macy are trying to take the chiId away from them, when in reality it is the other way around. Deacon is encouraging Little Eric's relationship with Rick and Amber, while Rick and Amber have expressed that they don't like having to share the kid with Deacon and Macy, and that is their reason for fiIing for adoption.

This is exactly why I don’t feel sorry for them for loosing Eric and actually encourage Deacon taking him away from them. This whole situation is because THEY don’t want deacon (and Macy) involved with the child, and the only reason deacon is involving lawyers is to be involved at all. They are accusing them of doing the very same thing they are doing, yet want to act like deacon and Macy are the bad guys here.

When this first aired I didn’t watch regularly, but watching all the episodes now, it really is galling how awful Rick and Amber are - and then they have the nerve to play the victim. Deacon has clearly made *every* opportunity to avoid a custody battle and to share Little Eric, which is the fairest thing to do. But people with the last name “Forrester” don’t understand what “share” means.

Suddenly I'm seeing all the times that Deacon is genuinely trying to work with Amber and Rick, and all the times that they try to keep him away from Little Eric while cIaiming that he's the one starting a custody battIe. Like the other day when Deacon _brought Eric home to them,_ Eric was all happy to be home with Rick and Amber but _also_ happy to have connected with Deacon and Macy (an ideal shared custody situation because the kid was clearly thriving) and after Deacon left, Amber started crying about how horrible this was and how confusing it would be for Eric to have two homes, and talked about how they had to adopt Eric to avoid sharing custody with Deacon.

That scene with Amber where she kept trying to get Little Eric to repudiate Deacon and Macy and he’s all “girl, I *do* like them, I just want to hang with my boy Tommy at your pool for one day, chill” was legitimately hilarious. Literally nobody with a working brain would listen to this exchange and think “Little Eric doesn’t want to spend time with Deacon and Macy, better give the Forresters custody ASAP.”

It's like she _wants_ Little Eric to not want to spend time with Deacon and Macy. Otherwise, she could simply have suggested that they ask if Tommy could play with Eric at Deacon's house.

@@FayeIL this is actually the part that I didn't catch the first time when watching this, and which is completely altering my perception of this storyline now. In a situation like this, the number one responsibility of everyone involved is to make the chiId feel _safe._ Deacon and Macy have been doing that, by creating situations where they could show Little Eric how everyone was getting along and how he was surrounded by love (inviting Amber to go to the beach with them, inviting Rick and Amber to the wedding). Rick and Amber have been doing the opposite by undermining Eric's relationship with Deacon and Macy, including Amber's objection at the wedding (which upset Little Eric), and her now telling him that he doesn't have to go to Deacon's if he doesn't want to (which signaIs to a small child that maybe he should not want to go there). Amber's fear that Deacon is going to "take Eric away" can easily be transferred to the child, and make him fear Deacon. And the fact that it hasn't happened already says a lot about the great job Deacon has been doing connecting with his kid.

Apparently the judge is a fan of Macy's singing and it is implied that this may be to her advantage. This certainly is a change from 1995, when Lt. Burke was fairly unimpressed by Thorne and Macy's celebrity status and would not take them seriously no matter how much fan maiI -they- Macy got.
