I don't care about Steffy nor Ridge. They were so insensitive adopting the baby after Hope thinking her baby died. Gave a man cash for her, and Ridge couldn't be happy for Hope, even after he watched her suffer. What a horrible step father he is.

@@melanieb-e8570 Steffy had already started thinking about adopting BEFORE Beth was born. And why was that? Because Hope threatened Steffy to exclude her own mother from the family or else she would forbid Kelly from spending time with Beth. Steffy was more than willing to allow Kelly and Beth to have a close relationship, but Hope stopped that from happening because of her own selfishness. THAT'S why Steffy turned her mind to adoption. And of course Ridge, as her father, supported her decision. Taylor, as her mother, also supported her, and spoke to Reese about it because she knew him as a past colleage and knew that he had connections. It was already in the works and was going to happen whether Beth got stolen or not. Hope even said it herself the day "Phoebe" was brought home; "we already knew this adoption would happen eventually" (or something along the lines of that). There was no selfish or malign intent from Steffy, Ridge or Taylor behind it because all three of them were unaware of what Dr Buckingham did at the time.

@@candacebrushett5651 I'm referring to the point in time when the truth about Beth was out. Hope and Liam were no longer suffering, but Steffy was instead. There was hardly any sympathy being shown her way by Hope, Liam or Brooke at that time, even though Steffy did her best to support them while Beth was believed to be dead.

Steffy was a victim, but she needs to blame her mother and brother for all the pain. It is totally natural that Hope now wants Beth to herself, after all these moments she missed. Steffy has no right to claim anything, it is a shock, but in the end it's her family's fault.

@@lastdayonearthmysteryman4849 Having real life professional experience in the FC and child welfare system, i have seen foster parents who have cared for a child/children for a period time , have a hard time when they have to deattach from them So for persons and foster carers who KNOW that they have a limited time to care for a child until they find permanent placement for them becoming emotional when its time to separate, imagine for someone who thinks they have adopted a child PERMANENTLY, get attached caring for the child and then be told that they have to give the child away because its not theirs- especially for persons who really really love children THAT was Steffy's situation portrayed here- it is a very real pain and valid. She felt gutted cuz she loved that baby as her own- so ofc she will be hurt..that being said...the truth stands that Phoebe is Beth - and should be cared for by her REAL mother-Hope... So its not that Phoebe didn't exist- she did exist to everyone until the truth was uncovered. Steffy needed time to process and accept that fact to then detach and palce that energyv on caring for her biological child kelly who needs her.

@@lastdayonearthmysteryman4849 having watched the rest of the Beth arc- Steffy did heal offlscreen and she got addicted to drugs not because of losing Phoebe..but because she got addicted to pain pills after her accident. Finn was indeed her saving grace and someone who truly loves her unlike Liam ...it sickened me to hear how she hurt him for a guy like Liam who has proved time and time again to be unreliable and never truly showing his love for her when it mattered... i do hope Steffy learnt from hurting Finn

If Steffy knew Beth was Phoebe from the very beginning she would have given her to Hope Problem is months passed and she grew so close to her and when she heard the truth she was in complete denial and resentment and it took her time to realize Beth was Phoebe and that Thomas was out of Control.

All of this was caused by Taylor and her big mouth talking to someone she barely knew about issues that she did not even tell the truth about. She should never have mentioned Hopes name to Reese especially after telling him she wanted to help Steffy adopt a baby soon. If she had just kept her trap shut Reese would never have known who Hope was and she would have not thought her baby was dead.

Flo wanted to say something, but she was literally pressured and blackmailed into staying silent. Yes, Flo did lie. But don't ignore the fact that Flo wanted to say something eventually (better late than never) but due to pressure from Zoe and Shauna and the possibility of being blackmailed by Thomas (a Forrester Male), what was Flo suppose to do? On top of that, notice how not just in this scenario involving baby Beth but in life as general, the main architect of the organized crime gets the least severe punishment but the accomplices get the worst punishments.

I've seen this storyline again and again and again. Its literally beating a dead horse.
