Just think about how our nature photographers treat "lower conscious beings" to get them to trust them. They hang out in the open. Day after day after day not being threatening until the local species get curious and come to check them out. Eventually they end up realizing that their guests are harmless and then you get all those adorable photos of animals on top of photographers or sitting on their equipment. We are the lower conscious beings. They are overtly observing. Their presence alone shifts human consciousness in a postive direction.

The interest will grow more than people understand yet. It won't be based on the term ufo in the future as much anymore as the crafts and the non planetary and even planetary inhabitants operating some the crafts will be known and the whole culture will be based on this being an open planet. Here's my theory - and God I hope it's close to the truth I think the ET's are merely getting started - this is their opening move. I believe they will gradually upscale the measures they use to get our attention until it gets to the point where they DO land. They already know a majority of us are still just above caveman level as far as spirituality goes. Yes, we've come a long way *intelligence* wise - we can build and fly all these crazy vehicles, we're working with quantum computers. But our wisdom is still extremely lacking. We see something new and unknown, and our first reaction is "OOGA BOOGA KABOOM!" It's pretty damn clear considering that, why they don't immediately land. But once the public starts to grow accustomed to them, my guess is that they will feel more comfortable coming forward. No evidence for any of that, but that's how my brain works.
