Bold Coast Charter Company puffin cruise!

Puffin cruise out of Cutler, Maine with Bold Coast Charter Company to Machias Seal Island. One of two charters with a permit to land on the island and bring guests to the blinds to observe the TONS of birds.
Not only did we see puffins but also razorbills, arctic and common terns, common murres, northern gannets, Savannah sparrow, and a Wilson’s storm petrel.
Super knowledgeable and safety oriented crew. Highly recommend!!

thanks for sharing. We will also go see puffins in August and wonder how long tourists can stay on the island. Also, what kind of lens is more suitable? Thanks

You are on the island for about an hour in the blind. Not sure on lens. Not a photographer. There were folks there with huge lenses. The puffins are super close when you are in the blind.
