No way that tops "pass in the grass" , it ranks up there and I can think of other contenders as well but imho ....Sr didnt have a wall to lean on, it was twice the speed and if Sr hadnt saved the car when he got back on track B Elliot and a lotta others woulda had a bad day......no comparison other than both were ballsy "outside the box" maneuvers that payed off. If he had failed we wouldnt be having this convo. I used to watch Davey's Dad Bobby race and his uncle Donnie and then Davey came along. Davey was a huge loss, I have been a Sr fan since 84.....i feel your pain......

For those who think what Ross did wasn't fair and that it's a bad look for the sport and don't like it... you should tell NASCAR to get rid of this stupid point system. The points format makes drivers do crazy stuff like this. If NASCAR doesn't like intentional wrecks and stunts like what Ross did... get rid of the points system that not only encourages it but also rewards it. Good for Ross. I hope he takes it down next week. Side note: There's a 99% chance this move gets banned next year. NASCAR will call it a safety issue. Mark my words. NASCAR can't be having the 2nd place driver doing this every year. And again... 100% on NASCAR... don't hate on Ross.

Thank God the NBC camera director stayed with Ross C. He had a gut feeling he would do something legendary to get himself into the championship 4 race and Ross didn't disappoint. With that move alone sent Ross into the greatest finish list in NASCAR history. Wether you love him or hate him you have to stand and applaud that lol. That will be the fastest Martinsville lap record forever

Just when you think you've seen it all, you haven't....I've been watching NASCAR since the 70's and seen all the greats, all the kings do it all - but I have never seen anything like this. Ross had nothing to lose so why not try that video games shit.... holy hell, awesome. After Denny gets over being upset, he's going to look back and think, "why didn't I think of it first" and laugh about it..... maybe not soon, but some time.

10 bucks says Nascar puts in some new rule to outlaw a move like this in the future under the guise of "safety". Which i kind of get .... at that speed, imagine if any one of those drivers had gone to the high side out of turn 4 as he came plowing by wide open .... that wouldnt have been pretty. It was an incredible finish, but i bet NASCAR will try to not let it happen again.

Finally we have another good ol blue collar driver adding some excitement to NASCAR. I was a Ross fan before, but even bigger fan now. Tired of all the pinch faced rich kids buying their way in or using grandpa to open the door. I also like Larson but I don't agree with his post race comments about this being bad for NASCAR, it's probably the best thing that's happened all year. Honestly, if Hamlin made the final four over Ross I probably wouldn't even watch the last race.
