At the end of the last episode I assumed deacon came back to be close to his daughter but nope, as usual, his only concern is making Brooke’s life easier but talking Bridget into forgiving her when he’s half the reason they stopped talking. I don’t get how he just gives up on raising his child just because it’s an inconvenience to Brooke and just completely forgot about his son that “changed his life”. I hate how the writers have Deacon apologizing to Brooke for “ruining her relationship with her daughter” and not his WIFE for getting her mother pregnant.

Again the show is trying to change the narrative so that Deacon carries all the bIame for the affair, and Brooke should be forgiven. And again we are seeing Deacon making the sacrifice, so that Brooke's life can go back to normaI, with no consequences and no Iessons learned.

It doesn't surprise me that Bridget doesn't have enough self-respect; she never learned it from her mother. But she should be too proud to let someone like Deacon talk to her or believe her mother's sick explanations. She owes her zero respect. But she will even do it twice.
