Steffy knew she was falling in love with Bill. She was being totally insecure and scared of them. The point is no one, not even Ridge and Taylor didn't have a clue, she make a huge sacrifice by used her feelings for Bill to get company back from him for the Forresters. Ridge and others didn't really appreciate it nor really understand she went so much length to do it. It's very hurtful and ungrateful of Ridge for not showing his gratitude and appreciation to Steffy as her father.

The very answer to why $Bill was always a pawn to Steffy to get her family's company back and then to irritated Ridge for taking Brooke side and not hers. And later when she does her admiration for Bill only develops to a mutual respect for each other business sense and no nonsense characteristics. God, I didn’t realize how much I missed Ronn Moss, hammy overacting and all 😂😭 I also like Bill and Steffy as I rewatch this, far more so than I did back in the back. Don Diamont and Heather Tom were powerhouses, which I think is why more people weren’t jumping on the Still bandwagon back then. Somehow, I’m less creeped out from these scenes from 2010 than I was in 2017 when they finally did bang.
