Maya lived over Daisy's when she first came to town she couldn't have been homeless then because she was trying to get her little girl back she would not have wanted that if she were homeless. Brooke's bedroom original version was years previous to the last revamp. Maya and her ex may not have always been without money before he turned to crime and got her involved. Sometimes people go thru ups and downs financially. So it's possible she could have bought 1 piece of lingerie. She wasn't homeless all her life. She was a teen when she left home maybe she bought it then, they were not poor, just not rich.
