Yeah, you are right. Man, Eric and Lauren had one date and were kissing two or three times, and he /she/they thinking about proposal. It's insane. Eric is not thinking anything through or considering anything. They were barely an item yet or were barely together. Eric has never taken marriage seriously.

The Sheila/Maggie/James storyline was so dull in 1997, and then 1998 arrived, and the storyline culminated in Sheila shooting Stephanie. Looking at these clips, who would have thought it would happen?

Agreed! In 1997 James and Maggie were the only contract players Sheila had scenes with - no one else! The writers didn’t know what to do so they made Sheila go off her rocker again in 98.
