Oh well, i guess Ridge needed to see Quinn naked. Eric wanting an outdoor shower is kinda odd as he never seemed the sort who would disrobe in an open area.

Now Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), in 'way" Took page 'out" Of son's playbook, and became 'for" long while weeks Obsessed with his 'new" Dad's wife, Quinn Fuller, claming 'he" tried to get rid 'of" her, when he didn't really 'want" to, and unexpectadly develop "romantic' feelings for her, and wanted to bang her, When 'in" reality he still 'in" love with 'another" woman. RIDGE FORRESTER, good god, "man", what in Go** * name Are 'you" thinking? Contant stares, and running, and 'staring" QUINN while naked 'in" shower?! if your daddy, Eric, find out 'about" This, he'd Never forgive you, Or likely Quinn (WYATT's mom)! Gamble on 'that", RIDGE. !

Yes, I totally agree. Although very different, I think he was a good choice as a replacement. He's a much more natural actor, who brings more realism, depth and complexity to the Ridge character. People say he's too scruffy and they don't like his voice, but I think the European 'bohemian' influence gives him an earthy, international sophistication that suits the character. He also has more of a roguish, dangerous edge that provides better drama and interaction with the other actors and characters (especially Bill!). Ron Moss was very old school, the pretty boy 80s soap star, and although he had a great presence and look, was a bit wooden and one dimensional.

They are very different but overall, I've come to prefer this Ridge. Ron Moss was more the old school, glamorous, pretty boy-Soap star. A kind of 'Romance novel' two dimensional archetype with a limited range as an actor. Where as this Ridge (Thornton Kaye) is far more natural and realistic in his performance and portrayal, and gives the character more of an edge and complexity. I think the 'dishevelled scruffy' thing is a different, modern take on Ridge; the bohemian artist, international man of the world and womanizer. He also has that proud, macho Latino look and thing to him that fits the 'Maroni' bastard son; the outsider with a big ego and chip on his shoulder. However, I do think the original Ridge had more connection and chemistry with Brooke. They were the iconic Soap couple.
