@Sara Zimmermann yes i know they are friends in real life but on the show she lived and breathed for Ridge, everybody knew that. So how could he not be with her at the end? Even if stephanie and Brooke got past their differences, stephanie deserved a family member comforting her in her last moments. Put yourself in her place
